Mostly clear red at sunrise E. 2. Light white frost. Tue and Muggs went to church AM. Muggs got Sunday paper- Interocean. Was too late for R.H. After they left I drove south to Woodson place returning by Wrightsville about 1 P.M. the roads are good most of the trees hold their green leaves especially the oaks, Hickory walnut and some other trees have shed. I met but one auto in twelve mile drive today. Toward night I drove over to Frank Balch's. Will call to look at work tomorrow. Mostly clear with moderate S.E. to south winds. C.O. Rennells has not appeared to finish painting on W.C. and we will get other man. Gobed 10.3021. Monday. 6 AM. Ther. 52. 74. 64. = 63 1/3

Didn't find strip for W.C. to suit. Our painter has never appeared. think he "doped" the paint left as it refuses to dry. Frank Balch looks at furnace and will clean and put it up tomorrow for two dollars. Harman and family in town in Surry. Hitches team in barn. Mrs. Bell takes 1 1/2 bu pears. Tue and Maggie to function at Pres. Church toward night and later. I drove east after 4 P.M. return 5.30. Part cloudy with fresh southerly winds. Clouds W. at sunset. Quite warm day and in night. Tue was over at LeRoy's night. Go bed 8.30 P.M.
