Mostly clear, haze, N.1.  Tue and I get start for Loxa 7.30 A.M.  Went via Loxa.  Tue stops to talk with Mrs. West.  I stop at store.  Charley had not yet received R.H.  will do so at once.  Harman's crops don't show up gilt edged.  He was just starting to help JO Linder thresh.  Tue called on Mrs. Burge.  We start home 10.30 going out front.  We drove N. to town line ny Glassco Road then E. to JB Hill Road.  There is  much weedy corn and B.C.  We got  home say 12.30.  Jack did not go.I drove over to Parkers P.M.  Says will not go out till Thursday.  I drove over to Anderson later.  Learn that Kate has gone to Mo to visit sister.  Frank's folks are quarantined with scarlet fever which they have just taken.  Hael Record called collecting P.M.  Fair day with light variable winds, lightning in S. at night.  Tue spent evening at the Rocks.  Phebe out with Fan.  Self rheumatic today.  McNeel has moved shop to corner of Adams and 7th.  Go bed 9.30.

About clear, smokey or hazey.  Uncle John down to dinner,.  The mare  which  got hurt  died today.  Mrs. Linder  red(?) the Linder Farm sold to Uncle John last summer.  Tell  Uncle John he can have a(?)  buggy.  Commer in town. The Narrow Guage recd. part of lumber Friday culling considerably.  Went down  to RR with Comer toward night.  May Johnson and Davis children here at night.  This has been warmest day in six years,  Go bed 11 P.M.  Some cloudy P.M.  Clear til about noon.

Clear. N. Very heavy dew Oscar Lawyer came early for jag of kindling.  McNeel does nothing at furnace today.  It lies scattered about the premises handy for the junk boys.  I phone Harman that have gotten posts.  He is cutting hay.  I drove N. of town AM Much rain there yesterday roads very muddy.  Crops look well.  Talk with Dave Gray at Court House.  Tue got letter from Muggs.  Willie Parker was buried P.M.  I drove east late P.M.  But little rain east lately.  Everybody busy with hay and oats.  Mare scares badly at some hogs  -   no damage done.  Clear day with stiff northerly wind.  I took mare to Nickles.  Tue up town night.  Rhoda washed A.M.   Could not find Harvey Mc today, nothing doing with the furnace.  They are working for the road makers.  Gobed 9.30

Clear W. wind.  The gasoline stove was off this morning but we managed to get it started.  About as yesterday but more clouds and stronger wind from N.W.  some signs of rain, some showers in distance.  Wind changed to N. before sunset, very strong one.  Smith of Hutton ask for job of cutting cord wood.  Moore of Charleston called to buy wood.  The water  works have been shut off all day.  Davis girls here P.M.  to draw with M & P.  Spoke to H.G. about going to Mattoon or elsewhere,  Gobed 10 P.M.
