Cloudy. S.1.  Miller calls but decides not to paint.  Fritz borrows spading fork.   Emma Warman helps  Tue wash.  Hitch up before noon Robert Hill reports record Morels in Anderson  orchard.  Light showers with thunder AM .30 in at 11 AM.  Call at Siberts and will get mare shod soon.  The Mexican war news is only moderate.  Hurta has agreed to accept mediation as offered by Brazil  Argentina and Chili preparations for war continue however.  Mrs. Curd over P.M.  I drive S. before 4 PM.  Went down on Kickapoo road, Continued S at school house and past Mt. Zion on Zacks.  Got home 6.30 P.M.  Buy onions of Dick Wright as I passed.  There has been much work done down that way in two weeks.  Saw no corn planting done.  The river seems pretty high.  They have been catching good many fish.  Kate Grove came over after supper, Morty later.  I found one morel today, the first for two or three years.  Part cloudy day gobed 8.30

Most cloudy and threatening.  Miller called but decides not to paint today, too damp.  Emma helping Tue. A.M.  H.G. calls to renew note due May 1. wants to go fishing.  Helen came in AM staying to dinner.  Tue got letter from Muggs P.M.  The last record biz is all cleared up.  I started out 11 AM to find some morels but struck big lot Copriness conatuss at Harrison  and 4th Sts. and took home to dinner.  I went  out again for morels  4 P.M. and came near good wetting in shower I tried to dodge SW of town.  I got home pretty damp at 5 P.M. Much cloudy day with many  light showers say .15 meas. at 6 P.M.  WE Hill says he got  "60" morels this morn.  Very threatening at sunset.  Rainbow 4.30 P.M. Go bed 9.30

Cloudy N.W. 3.  We slept late.  Tues stomach troubles her good deal time last night.  Wonder if the  C.comatus had anything to do with it.  This the coolest morn for a week or two.  I drove S.W. befor(sic) noon thinking to find morels: didn't see one.  I drove out by Lattas returning by Sam Walters.  The roads are good just moist.  They have been dragging them in many places.  Everybody getting ready to plant: didn't see any planted.  Tue  went up town PM and to church or elsewhere at night getting home 10.30  Mostly cloudy day with N.W. wind.  Gobed 9

cloudy N.E.2.  Sibert takes mare and shoes her first time since last fall.  Seeds from Harris came A.M.  Build good fire in furnace but was chilly all day.  Tue  cleaning in pantry A.M.  Hitch up after dinner and drive up to 2nd Bank to consult with Felix.  Get shave at Brown's.  WE Hill reports lots of morels yesterday.  I take rummage basket to Mrs. Shatsbergers late P.M.  Buy bu. corn and bale threshed timothy at Ryan;s 1.45  Tue and self both complaining with our stomach.  Think have been eating too much Mostly cloudy with moderate NE wind Clearing at night.  Gobed 9.30 P

The Weather &c for Apl. 1914 at Charleston, Ill.

Mean temperature 54.37.  Maximum 86 on 22d Minimum 22 on 9th clouds 51 +% Precipitation mostly rain on 11 days 2.52  the heaviest 1.26 on night of 6th Snow flying on the 8th  Ice about 3/4 on 8: 1/2 in on 9th:  1/5 on 10th:  1/8 on 30th  There has been much complaint of dry weather.  Grass has not grown much for past two weeks.  Farmers are getting well along with their work.  Oats were sown late but ate looking well.  Clover meadows much damage by freezing &c.  Wheat looks well.  There is prospect of good fruit crop.  Have seen no corn planted.  They retail corn at stores at 80 to 90 cts.  Hay about 20.00  they charge 60 cts for oats.  There have been many fish caught at river, bass &c.  Geo. Knocks says thing are more numerous than for 30.

Clear E.2.  near frost.  Very heavy dew.  Miller came 7 AM thinks too cold to paint before noon.  He has a partner who will assist him - Jake Myers, This ward  Alderman.  Hitch up 10.30 and take Tue to Dr. Fultons where R.C. has a function today.  Miller and Myers begin work 1 P.M. working till 5.  Tue got home 5 P.  Mrs. Harman phoned for Mrs. Shrieves wanting to see about wallpaper at farm.  They will be in tomorrow.  I drove round by Kickapoo and Wrightsville getting home 7 P.M. made pat mush.  Clear day.  light variable easterly winds  go bed 9.30.

Cloudy  and raining S.E.2.  Mrs. Bell died early A.M.  Rain ceasing.  Tue decides to go to church getting R.H. on the way.  It quit raining and I intended to hitch up and take a drive about 2 PM. but heavy showers occasionally stop me.  the wind got southerly with some thunder about 4 P.M. to 6 P.M.  Grove's folks over a while P.M. till thunder starts then home.  This is one of my bad days and think am taking the grippe.  Stiff neck all day Pains in chest &c.  Gobed 9.30  Clear at 9

The Weather &c for November 1913

Daily mean temperature 50.  58. Max 76 on 22nd  Minimum 20 on 11th. Clouds 52%  Precipitation all rain 4.59 falling on 18 days, Winds N. 3 2/3 :  NE 2/3:  E 2 2/3:  SE 3 1/3:  S. 13:  S.W. 3 2/3:  W. 1/3:  and N.W. 2 1/3 days.  Much of corn crop is shucked about  half crop of inferior corn in this section.  It sells at elevators 55 to 60 cents.  Clover hay 17,00 per ton:  Fat hogs say 7.50  Eggs 35.  I am feeding straw and corn.    The grass is green and heavier than at any time last spring or summer.  The recent rains have not raised the streams to any great extant.  The scarcity of water which was serious in October has disappeared.   Fungi are growing but only a few.  The forecasts of Weather Bureau are for this type of weather indefinitely.  This continues to be a remarkable year.  The average temp. about ten degrees higher than 1910 and 1911 and six degrees above 1912.  there was near an inch of ice Nov. 20 A.M.

Cloudy W.2. fog.  My neck rheumatiz (sic) &c no better- worse.  Tue and Mrs. Grove were over at Bell's A.M.  the funeral at 2.30.  Young Geo Hampton calls for about fourth time for some old lumber.  He has not bought any of me yet Says Miller is at home.  Pay Siberts bill AM 2.15  I hitch up about noon.  Deposit these checks 338.20 at 2nd Natl. Drove out far as Huffman's.  The roads are very muddy - sloppy.  I felt poorly all day.  Leave mare at Nickle's.  They are not using their new barn as yet.  Cloudy foggy day light northerly winds  go bed.9.

Cloudy and damp light NW wind  Ch. working all day in corn crib  Easters haul load of wood to Guresey and takes Taffart his third load from yard.  Tue rents house in E. part of town to Mrs. Lee Brown at 1.20 per week payable weekly in advance.  Abe Workman calls to see about making ties.  Father ate dinner down at A.G.'s  Tue went over to F. Knocks toward night.  Cloudy all day, few snow flakes in forenoon  Gobed 8.30 PM  Put up stove up stairs.

Cloudy and light rain.  Myers brought Tue  peck of small onions charging 40 cents  Pain i n shoulder all night warm this morning.  Clears off P.M.  Baby very bad today  Tue sent for Dr. PM  Tue and W.S.G. had a few words, he didn't come to dinner.  Myers promised to come and patch roof P.M. but didn't.

Clean and warm.  Baby no better.  Tue and self intended to go to Berts today but baby too bad  I went  in afternoon taking ma couple dresses.  Val Mount went with me.  Didn't see Bert got home about sunset.  Have been chewing tobacco today and owe W.S.G. 2.00 as agreed.  Bob Brown  Roail (sic) of lumber today.  Myers worked on roof of house and on fence at store.  Baby seemed brighter but cant say is any  better.  Go bed.  9 P.M.  Bim say sold cow got home.

Clear cool and pleasant.  Myers works all day at store finishing fence trimmed off doors &c.  Baby seems better.   Got up at midnight last night and boiled her some milk, Decker took wood to Jim Hill.  Learn that Levi Fleuemor is dead at Mattoon.    Decker boys will work for me  at 75c per day when I want them.  Go bed 9.30 --Kate Myers here all day.

Clear or nearly is.  Myers put in full day.  Put roof boards over cornices at store.  Fixed door sell to back door and worked round house most of P.M.  He has worked  2 3/4 days this week and allowing 1.00 per day still owes 3.97  on this month rent.  Received Shoppells books ordered Monday.  Still chewing tobacco but propose to quit soon.  Have been having our first tomatoes this week.  Baby improving fast and seems about well again.  Gobed 10 P.M.

Clear.  Put back a  privy door at store and gave Kinayer Key.  Big Democratic rally in town today.  Fireworks at night.  Self not very well took meddy at night.  Girls and father went up.  Tue and self didn't.  Baby seems quite well.  Study plans for  houses all day.  Gobed 10 P.M.

22.  Sunday,  7.30  AM.  Ther.  70.  86.  72.

Clear day.  Intended to go out to Uncle John's in the morning but didn't go until toward night.  Baby not too well, think she caught cold last night.  Had last of chickens for dinner.  we got home at 8  o'clock.  Has (?) rather warm day.  Signs of rain at night.  Gobed 10 PM.

Clear.  There was a total eclipse of moon  last night which we knew nothing of till the moon was missed.    Mike Miller got a few posts.  W.S.G. not very well.  Stay at home most of day too hot to do anything.  Drove with girls toward night meeting steam thresher two or three times.  Tue sent  her washing to Mrs. Weber.  Cooler night  gobed 10.30 PM.

Ck. 6.50.  Tues finishes fixing an old rug for Buddy.  Tue  attends Aid meet at McCravys P.M.  Fern N; helping Phebe with dress most of day.  I drove E. to Alexander woods. late P.M.  there is  nothing doing in the  woods.  Got home about 7.  Mostly clear day.  Heavy clear day.  Heavy cloud from northerly at 8 P.M. with lots of wind and dust No rain but good deal of thunder.  a light shower later in night.  .o5.  Gobed 9.30.

Light bill for June 1.89 ck.  Perry Grove has recently resigned his posish with Public Service Co.  I got jag of corn of I.B.M. yest.  they pay 65 and sell @ 75c.  I drove N.E. P.M.  going N. on Anderson road and returning by Ashmore road corn look well up that way- No corn firing as yet.  I got home 7.30  Part Cloud day Showers S.E. P.M.  Heavy thunder in that direction about  3 oclock.  wind northerly at night and cleared off.  Go bed 9.30.

N.E.2.  another change in weather without rain.  Tue goes up later.  I get start to Loxa 9 A.M. going through to farm which look over pretty well.  Cliff at work in B.C. south of house with five teams.  Talk with him while.  Paul and Mr. Cox both sick.  He has four hands hired in  field. has cut say ten acres oats.  Asks me to  send Abbott out - which I did P.M.  Return through Loxa getting home say 1 P.M.getting sheaf oats.  Met Zeke Gilbert.  Toward night drove round by Siberts: he will shoe horse  &c in  morn.  Saw Abbott: Says will go out in morn.  Says Jo Bill now working for Interurban.  Clear day with a steady N.E. whirlwinds.  Lighter at night.  There is no running water in Cossell Creek.  All streams are going dry.  Plenty of water at head wall Loxa Branch.  Tue  and Phebe were up to  hear band in evening.  Fern here during day working with Phebe.  Gobed 10 P.M.

Emmett helping him put up hay.  Clouds up light shower about 1 P.M. with thunder.  More light showers in night.  Order of I.B. late P.M. bu oats and bale threshed timothy which they deliver.  I drove late down Myers house through Wrightsville getting home after 6.  Part cloudy day Strong southwind P.M.  Go bed 9.30.

Cloudy early W.4.  Strong southerly wind all night with light dashes of rain - Not enough to do any good.  I drove S.E. nearly to river AM looking for chickens.  Didn't find any.  I got home noon finding Muggs here, sooner than she expected.  She has four weeks vacation.  Grace and Fern here P.M.  Mostly clear day with high westerly winds.  Old man McGaham died yesterday.  Learn that Sam McPheron is dead at Mattoon.  Tue and girls went up town a while at night.  I  have had bad pain in right side for week.  It worries me.  Got buttermilk at Creamery.  Gobed 10 P

Clear mostly S.W. 3.  Hitch up early.  Tue and girls sleep till about 8.  Tue attends church morning.  Shave self AM.  Had intended to go to ranch or elsewhere AM. but proves to be too hot about 5 P.M.  drove to ice plant for ice and later took drive down by Woodson place.  Corn looks well in spite of the drouth.  I got home 7.30  Roads dry and dusty.  Little signs of rain.  Mostly clear day with strong SW wind.  Go bed 10 P.M.

Cloudy and very threatening.  Heavy black cloud approaching from N.E.  It yielded little rain (05)  The rheumatism in right side which has annoyed me for a week or two so much worse today that keep pretty still.  Toward night I drove SW getting home 8 P.M.  I got three chickens at Louis Songer's 1.00 check.  Part cloudy and threatening but no rain here except sprinkle in morn.  The  corn Emmett planted is up two or three inches.  Corn in country looking well.  Part clear S.W.3.  Go bed 10 PM.

Cloudy with thunder S.2. Sp. rain 6 P.M. .03.  The pain in my side gets worse.  I did not hitch today on account of heat.  Didn't go up town.  Sat in buggy in barnyard much of P.M. reading.  The heat very oppressive.  No rain although cloudy and threatening late P.M.  This drouth is pretty general in the middle West.  Sat with Tue, Muggs and Phebe on hillside after supper.  Wish Buddy was here.  Mosquitoes still pretty bad.  Jack dog something in his throat.  Gobed 9.30 P.  Tue sends box to Buddy Express.

N.W.3.  Old buggy hardly safe to use but hitch up and get paper.  Tue and Phebe went to church AM.  Tue went down to  H.G.'s late afternoon staying till 9 P.M.  I drove SW after 4 P.M.  Went by Mat Brown's turning by J.W. Percy's and Busk Woods: get home 8 P.M.  Much good corn in creek bottoms.  Streams are getting very low.  I did not meet any autos.  Mostly clear day with high Northwind diminishing at night.  Gobed 10 P.M.

Part cloudy.  Phone J.E. Mc for same which got 3 P.M. and pay Ex on last lot.  Went over to Siberts with old buggy but couldn't get near shop A.M.  Tue got letter from Buddy P.M.  Self feeling worse than usual.  Fair day light southerly winds.  Tue went to Holiness meeting  with  Mrs. Brooks at night.  Gobed 10 P.M.

Clear.  Father and Phebe up in night.  They ate too many string beans.  Stay at home all day  too hot to move round much.  Bert was here to dinner.  Ma has been staying  with them for a week or so.  Put a blind  up on S. side of W.C.  Hat calls in morning.  Go bed 10 P.M.

Clear hot day.  Stay at home.  Up town at night for grub.  New band playing on street corners.  Get Mutton at Bill Myers 25c. on Cr.  Clouds up and storms up light shower about dark cooling air some.  Past week has been very oppressive to hot to work or to even eat.  Have had no butter for several days.  None in town.  Tue sells milk to Eastin's folks and she does not give enough for (?).  Gobed 10 P.M.

Mostly cloudy S.2.  Get shave at Browns AM Cr. 15.  Drove down to see Fritz  but while waiting it began to rain and I get home soon as possible didn't see him.  I got pretty  wet and had to change shirts.  A card from Buddy says she got home all right.  Tue got lot cherries of Elisha Smith.  Mrs. Grove over while P.M.  The shower &c. this morning .30.  Ben Hill who lives in Arizona called P.M.  I drove out far as Watsons P.M.  returning south road.  Call again at Fritz.  Mrs. Firrel tell him to come in morning.  Stop and talk with Jake Daizy.  He is poorly.  Mostly cloudy day.  Moderate southerly wind.  Tue at Grove's night.  Dash rain night .08.  Jack dog not well and does not go driving with me.  Go bed 11.30 P.

Mostly cloudy.  S.2.  I expected Fritz but he didn't come.  Is working for Dorch in harvest.  Much cloudy day with sprinkles rain.  Tue and Phebe can cherries A.M.  and attend Alumni meet at Park PM getting home 10 P.M.  I drove NW of town P.M. to town line past Stodderts.  Things look pretty well along the road.  There has less rain here than in town.  Get letter P.M. from Phelps concerning buggy axles.  Reading History of Queen Elizabeth  gobed 10 P.M.

Mostly clear.  S.3.  Rhoda comes to wash.  Drove to Express office and to Siberts.  He pulls front shoes.  Will help about buggy any time.  I got caught in showers at Weber Jail corner.  Rhoda works till noon.  Had to hang clothes in attic a/c of rain.  Drive W. to  Alex woods late P.M.  The woods are looking better.  No fungi appearing.  Jack went and got defiled.  Return south road getting  home 6.30  Mostly clear P.M. proved to be very warm day and night Showers AM amount to .33.  Tue at Groves night Go bed 10.30

Clear S.#.  Fritz is still working for Dorsch.  I drove down there late P.M.  thinks Saturday morn soonest he can come.  This proves to be about most oppressive heat we have had,  Clear day with fresh southerly wind.  Tue over at Brooks' at night.  Will Ginther and Harry Wright call P.M. to obtain options on Perkins lot.  They didn't get it.  they claim that the new P.O. is to go to old Weber lot on Van B. and 7th sts.  Gobed 10  Tue got letter from Muggs at Jeff Cy: thinks be home July 10.

 Clear.  SW.1.  Tue ironing AM.  I drove round town a little AM but too hot for driving.  Call on Sibert and He with hand take off axles from new buggy and get same ready to ship back to Columbus.  I don't think he followed instructions and I expect to fear about it later.  This has been most sultry day yet.  Mostly clear. light S.W. to N.W. winds.  We need more rain but  no hopes of it soon in the reports.  Tue at Fannie Coons at night.  Phebe out with  Fern.   Get letter from Buddy P.M.  go bed 10.

Cloudy.  N.E. 3.  I went up for shave before breakfast.  Yates.  Hitch up to new buggy AM and drive out far as Huffmans getting home before noon am not crazy about new buggy.  The main trouble is it is too high to get under shed and pretty hard  for me to get into.  Late. PM.  I took Buddy and Charles down to Jessie Maffets for short call.  Mostly cloudy day with strong N.E. wind.  Grows much colder P.M. with light rain 4 oc.  Reasor's of Hindsboro phone Buddy that will come for her tomorrow.  Tue over at Brook's at night till 9   Gobed 9.30

Tue went to church AM.  She could not get a R.H. newspaper.  John Reasor called with auto for Buddy and Charles 4 P.M.  and took them for a  short visit in Hindsboro.  I hitched up A.M. but did not drive out till 4.30 when I took the Kickapoo trip returning by Wrights and the cutoff.  Everything in country looks just about same as a month ago.  Corn is little larger: everything is drying up, roads dusty.  I drove the new buggy.  It does not suit and will try to have some changes made.  Jack started but got lost before I got out  of town.  He was home when I got in at 7 PM.  Clear day stiff N.E. wind.  We have good fire in grate all day.  Gobed. 9.30

Clear E.3.  Hitch to old buggy and drive over to Siberts am thinking of returning buggy axels and getting the drop kind.  Clear and cold strong N.E. wind.  Tue brought some hats for me to select from but none of them fit me.  She went down to Hat's at night.~~  E. H. Clark died at Marshall last night.  Harman phones at night.  Seems much discouraged about weather &c.  I drove E. of town toward night to Huckaba's.  Crops seem to be holding their own pretty well.  Harman has boys hired to pull the milkweeds in his oats.  We expected Phebe tonight.  Tue went to 8.30 car.  she didn't come.  Gobed  10.30

Clear.  N.E.3.  After hitching to old buggy I drove over to Siberts.  He says exchanging axels on new buggy "is small matter."  Later AM I drove north Anderson road to town line returning by plank road.  Drove up the new "paved" road a piece first time have done so.  I don't admire same but it may be alright.  Get home noon.  Tue attended the E.H. Clark funeral at D.H. Dowlings with Mrs. Brooks.  Went to cemetery.  I stay at home.  Phebe arrived about 3 P.M. from Ann Arbor.  Buddy and Charles came later from Hindsboro.  Reasor's took the car to Buston.  Phebe left us Feb. 3 and has been at AnnArbor since about Mar. 1.  Ora Webb called P.M. and night.  Mort and Kate called at night.  K slip in while we were at supper.  Clear day, moderate easterly winds.  Sat up reading till 11.30  Harman phones night.  BA weather.

Clear. S. 2. Get  hold backs at Frommel's AM.  Didn't hitch to new buggy.  It proves to be one of hottest days to date.  Paid for Jan. 15. 1914  Buddy was expecting to go to Hindsboro to visit Reasors but they did not come for her as expected.   The constant heat is wearing me out and most of my time is  spent at rest  in the house.  Some cloudy P.M. and I drive out west of town pass Helen's and return by Lattas place.  Corn seems to be growing.  The largest  I have seen may be a foot high.  Weather bureau predicts rain but little sign of it.  I got home 6.30.  the roads getting cut up with dust.  Pay Sibert's bill to date 3.95.  Charley Jones will get some posts up farm say 30.  Light variable winds ant hot night.  Gobed 9.30

Mostly clear very warm last night.  McCormick comes to paper before we were up.  Went again to timber brought Kelly home and  stop the job for a few days til can get up  petition.  Have learned that there is kick about my fence.  Warm day but some cooler.  Go bed 10.30

Part cloudy. S.3.  There was light dash of rain in night-just wet the dust.  get letter from Phelps acknowledging receipt of my order.  Tue went out to Helen's to some function on 11.30 car.  Doc. Patton was buried P.M.  Learn that Dick Marshall old acquaintance is dead.  I did not drive today although horse was hitched. Cloudy at times and appearance of rain.  Wind strong S. to W. and grows cooler P.M.  Tue did not return till after 9 oc.  I had retired.  The locust trees have been coming out and are now about in full bloom.  The yard needs mowing badly but have heard nothing from E.F.  Gob. 9.P.

N.1.  Still feeling the grip pretty strong.  Tue gets letter from Muggs  She and Miss Wades are going  to began(sic) traveling over  MO establishing traveling libraries soon.  Pay phone  3.13 rates for  Apl. 1.50.  Helen Ferrish calls after dinner.  Mrs. Grove was over "a minute" AM.  Harman called P.M. staying an hour or two.  He wants to plow up  more clover.  Has got it figured out so that will have 50 or 60 acres in B.C.  Wants me to come out .  He is soliciting funds for Loxa church.  .  I can't give any now.  He helped me hitched up and I drove up town about 6 P.  Mostly cloudy with light variable winds.  Spr. R. P.M.  Gas smell night.  Gobed 9.30

Cloudy. fog S.B.  Tue attends Pauline Berner funeral with Mrs. Brook.  Hitch up AM, old mare stepped on my right foot.  I was badly scared about it but it seemed about as well as ever at night.  Part cloudy day with heavy thunder Sat. 1 P.M. and showers not far off.  Very threatening from 1 to 3 P.M. but no rain here.  Wind shifts to N.W. P.M. and much cooler.  I did not use mare today.  Turn her into pasture at night.  I have complained of  feeling better today and was free from pain.  Gobed 9.

Mostly cloudy N. 2.  I didn't sleep well and feel about as bad as ever this morn.  Tue  went  to church with Mrs. Brooks AM  getting  R.H.  I hitch up and drive down to Kickapoo on Grenup(sic.) road; from there round by Mat Brown's and Oak Ridge S.H. and home.  Met Emmett and Hatton on Lincoln  Ave.  Bill will work for me tomorrow.  The drouth [sic] is getting serious.  I saw several fields of corn up an inch or two.  It is  too dry and cool for things to grow.  The roads are quite dusty.  I left at 11 AM. and got home  1.30 P.  Mrs. Brooks here much of P.M.  She and Tue attended church at night.  Part clear day light northerly winds.  Gobed. 10.30

Part  cloudy S.E.2.   Hatton came early and works all day.  Put in most of time mowing yard - had to  go over it twice.  It had become too high and very tough.  Helen and Geo. came while we were at dinner.  I hitch up mare - drove up  town. get scythe and sickle ground at Siberts.  He will set up  new buggy for me.  Tue went driving with Mrs. Geo. Griffin P.M. out to cemetery and elsewhere.  Fair day S.E. moderate wind.  Threatens rain about dark.  Tue spent evening at Grove's Gobed 10 P.M.

Clear N.2.  Edith Bates called AM.  Phebe entertains her.  We have dinner 1.30 PM.  Harman and Preston call having been at sale N. of  town.  They leave lot of harnesses in barn  Roy leads mare to Siberts to remove shoes.  Phebe gets letter from Ethel Corey at Chicago.  Clear day with light SSW wind.  Red at sunset.  Ora Webb calls at night.  Phebe making phudges (sic) or something else to send to Buddy.  I did not read any at night.  Gobed 8.30

Clear., Wind N.E.  Baby slept. better than night before but not well yet.  Uncle John was in town, came down but did not stay to dinner.  Hen is still complaining.  Collect from John Rennells $7.00  A. Bengner $2.00,  Aubain $2.16 Rall a/c in full.  Roads  good and big crowd in town.  Riley Easton brings me 52 Posts.  Pay him $1.50 for them.  Snider called P.M. but didn't see him.  Baby better P.M. but worse again at night.  Comer in town says will pile ties Monday.  Clear day with N.E. wind.  Gobed 10P.M.
