8  Monday,    6 AM  Ther.  65.  89.  65.
Clear.  Baby better but cried a good deal in the night.  Phebe  fell on stairs this morning and hurt herself some.  Get letter from E.D. Davis saying needn't saw any more lumber at present. Letter from G.C. Dinsey, no butter at Geneva-  Bent was down to dinner.  Say, he has bought a farm up in Moultrie County.  Drove down to Young's but didn't see him.  Comer was in town but went out before I could see him.  Pleasant day.  No signs of rain.  Buy tomatoes 35c Decide to go to timber in morning.  go bed 9 P.M.

Wednesday 5.30 AM  Ther.  80.  100. 84.  
Clear.  Rec  a/c  lumber inspected on R.R.  they have only received about half that was s(?) bill to E.D. Davis.  Buy load of corn for Comer of Hobert which have put in Ray's stable.  Paid up  J.B. Mitchell over charge of 50c which pd again total 1.30. Learn that Tom Soddert   folks have lost their little girl.  Mrs. Chancellon washes.  Drive out by fair ground with Tue.  Some signs of rain P.M. good deal cloudy N.W.  Air oppressive, especially at night.  Go bed 9 P.M. -   Write William & Co. Lumber  G.C. Dinsey  fruit and butter
