14.  Saturday.  7 AM  Ther 57.   48.  34.  = 46 1/3
Cloudy w. wind begins growing colder about 7.30 AM.  Cloudy day wind N. clears off at night  Uncle John & Snider to dinner.  Snider brought us piece of beef.  Drake up with team.  Got  small load hay yesterday.  Got drunk this evening and starts home about 7 P.M.  Frank with him.  Gobed 11 P.M. ~ Electricity is out until 11 P.M.

15.  Sunday.  8 AM.  Ther  30  51.  47  =  42 2/3
Cloudy S. wind Heavy white frost  Maunie lang here most of the day and dinner.  Intended to go out to Uncle John P.M. but too much company.  Mrs. Harley here at night  gobed 10.30

16.  Monday 7 A.M.  Ther  50.  69.  57  =  58 2/3
Cloudy wind SW.  Start for ranch with Kelly 10.30 AM.  Found Milt Killing hogs brought up team and wagon get home about 6.30  Johnny McKee rode up with us.  Brought up  spotted Kid.  Milt has Devinely's Black billy goat there also Snider's Nanny.  Had Electric light put in  store today  Warm day part cloudy southerly wind, Road getting good most of way  gobed  midnight

17.  Tuesday,  6.15 AM.  ther.  55.  55. 42  =  50 2/3
Cloudy with SW wind.  Heavy rain between 8 AM and 10 AM.  Got stuff at Mintons to finish hay rack and Kelly and self work on it a while in PM.  Mrs. Wentz here in afternoon.  Gobed  11.40  PM.

18.  Wednesday 7 AM.  Ther  40.  60.  48.  =  49 1/3
Mostly cloudy SW wind.  Kelly and self work all day on hay rack slow work.  Hot here at night.  Harley boys over after school to see goat Mrs. Rogers irons.  Tue went up town PM.  Gobed  11.45  
AJ Weil drummer here.  buy 50 bbl J GMatteringly & S 5.89.  @ 41, acept M(?) 1.  Clear all day.

19.  Thursday.  7.00 AM.  Ther.  36  64  55  =  51 2/3
Clear Kelly and self work all day finish hay rack  Tue and  Grandpa go to HG's for dinner  Hat here at night  pretty cloudy PM  good deal cloudy PM.  gets warmer in night  Trade dull.  Gobed  11.45

Cloudy wind SW, light shower before light in morning.  Kelly  intended to take a load of hay down to timber today if it had not rained, instead brought load to stable  and hauled wood in P.M. three loads.  Will take  load to ranch tomorrow if weather will permit.  Cloudy day wind W. and N.W.  School closed today till after New Years.  Go bed 12.30

17.  Tuesday. 6 AM.  Ther.  58.  66.  57.  =  72 1/3
Mostly clear.  Owens tuned piano $2.50.  W.S.G. picks hops.  Milt brings up load of wood on yard.  I went down to  Milts at night getting there at about  7 P.M.  Mostly clear day with NW wind  gobed at Milts  9.30 P.M.

18.    Wednesday  5.30 AM.  Ther.  44.  60.  48.  =  55.
Clear.  Said to have been light frost in places.  J Riley came to work at 6 A.M.  R. Decker  @ 11 A.M.  Put up posts for N and E line and began on west after changing two or three times.  I walked over to Fritz hollow P.M. and start home at 5.30  Chilly day got hme 7.15  Maggie was sick all day.   Gobed 9 P.M.  wind NW fresh

19.  Thursday, 6.30 AM.  Ther.  41.  66.  51.  =  52 2/3
Clear.  Maggie seems pretty smart.  Greer drummer in town.  Get harnessed repaired at Adaires.  Drove out to cemetery P.M. taking Maggie  baby and Tue.  Chilly day NW wind  Gobed 10.10

20.  Friday. 6.30  AM.  Ther.  50.  72.  53.+  58 1/3
Clear  fresh W Wind.  Maggie feeling badly this morning.  Mr. Green leaves at noon.  Did not leave anything of him.  Mrs. Rogers irons.  Milt Drake was with R. Decker, brought wood.   Drove out to Loxa P.M. to see about a fence machine.  Didn't find it.Clear or nearly so all day strong W. wind  Go bed 10.15 P.M.

21.  Saturday  7 AM.  Ther.  50.  68.  57.  =  59 1/3
Clear.  Most of gang up from timber and pay off   Milt  brings up load of slabs for me, and deliver some posts and poles to Mrs. Coon.  Pay Milt Drake 3.00.  Biz very dull AM. but very good at night.  Tue complains of headache and toothache.  Maggie feeling pretty well she is worse every other day.  Gobed 11PM

22.  Sunday  6 AM. Ther   56.71.  58. = 61 2/3
Pretty clear  Start for timber 8 AM.  Drive round  clearing with Milt and down in S. hollow went round to river bottom got about half bushel paw paws same of grapes got home 7 P.M.  Maggie not so well today.  Pleasant day and growing warmer.  Go bed 9 PM.  Wind SE

23.   Monday.  6 AM.  Ther 60.  81.  65.  =  68 2/3
Part clouds  Mrs. Rogers washed.  Uni drummer here didn't  buy anything.   Sent  box of pawpaws and wrote letter to Aunt Maria  Milt got up with load of wood took to Ben Anderson the first of five cords sold him   The wagon about gave out today.  Milt didn't start home until after  8 P.M.  Maggie better today she has not been able to go to school any yet.  11 P.M.

24.  Tuesday  6 AM.  Ther  66.  86.  70.  =  74
Mostly clear Maggie feeling badly this AM got Dr. who left some medicine says she must have a Truss.  Mrs. Rogers came to Iron  Maggie better P.M.  Milt brought second load of wood to Anderson  Hibbard wants two or three cords dry.  Some cloudy  Unpleasantly hot signs of rain, lightning at night  Tue having neuralgia  Trade rather dull.  H Meyun drummer here.  Gobed 10:15

25.  Wednesday.  6.30 AM.  Ther.  55.65.  44  = 53 2/3
Cloudy.  Heavy shower about 3 AM.  Maggie feels better and up to breakfast.  cleared off before noon.  Start for ranch 9 Am.  Roads some muddy  Try with Milt to settle on location for shed.  He hauled up two loads of strips today.  None of other boys have worked this week.   Rode over pasture toward night.  Find grass looking very well but pastured too close.  Cool day  wind N.W. and strong at night.  go bed 9:30 P.M.

26.  Thursday.  6 AM.  Ther  40.  60.  44..  = 48
Clear.  White frost light.  Wait to work at fences N. end of yard in morning.  Commissioners came about 9 AM to survey road which they finish before noon  It measures about 226 rods.  After dinner worked on fence till I left at 4.45 P.M.  Maggie missed her chill today for first time in two weeks and feels better.  Cool day and some cloudy W wind.  Got home about dark.  Bought canned oysters at Lees.  gobed 10.15 P.M

27.  Friday  7 AM.  Ther  40.  66.  46  =  50 2/3
clear.  Light whit frost.  Rene was here  to dinner.  Maggie  still feeling better.  Pay up Tom Hutton $6.00 AM.  Paid  John Parker & Co $5. for repair wagon in July. Pd. John Adams for repairing Harness in full.  10c.  Walk down to depot P.M. to look at light plant.  Y Bro give $5.00 for 8th reg reunion Oct 2-3  Milt did not come up today.  Trade pretty good  Mrs. Davis and Ruth over at night  gobed  midnight.

28.  Saturday.  7 AM.  Ther  50.  78.  60  =  62 2/3
Mostly clear.  Milt came up with wood which takes to Hibbard, sells half cord to Sanders.  Buy Harmons butter at Bakers.   Engage 8 cord wood to Sam Cooper  Winters giving his security.  Pay up the gang.  HG and Nick prepare to go fishing tomorrow.   Trade pretty good.  gobed at 10.30 PM.

29.  Sunday.  6.30 AM.  Ther  56.  65.  58  =  57 2/3
Cloudy sprinkle of rain in night and early AM.  Tue and self start for timber 9 AM.  Find that one of the red pigs got killed in post hole.  Johnny  McKee there sent out sheep into two lgts and turn rams with them.  Sprinkle times during the day, and rain all the way home  Got home 7 P.M.  Heavy rain after dark  Gobed 10.15 PM
