3,  Thursday 5.30 AM.  Ther.  52  76.  60.  +  62 2/3
Cloudy.  SE.2.  Mort made and set window frame today~  The plumbers did not do anything.  I hitch up early and drive S. to Woodson road returning by Wrightsville getting home noon.  Roads generally good - becoming dusty.  The late frost 30 and 1st have touched corn in places.  Mort worked all day.  Cottingham didn't appear.  Bill Scott called to see about Perkins lot.  Burbank wants it.  Ferd writes will he married this month to Florence Purtill.  I drove up for grub toward night.  Breald and B.S.  Tue over to  Groves at night - a party of friends.  Mostly clear day light to fresh southerly winds.  Tue put in P.M. varnishing floor of hall upstairs.  Buy whip at Frommels.  Go bed 8.30.

Clear SE 1.  Hitch up early.  shave self after which dive S. around Woodson road.  They have new concrete bridge and  have leveled up hill.  I got home about noon.    Mort was over at Tue's request to see  about proposed W.C. to take place of SW. porch.  We did not decide what we would do.  Will do so later.  One Adair calls P.M. to rent room.  Tue gets letter from Phebe.  Had secured place at Ann Arbor Mich. but had not yet left Chicago.  Clear day and just about as hot as ever, very oppressive P.M.  I did not eat supper.  Tue over at Mrs. K's at night.  Learn that Harold Bacon is in town.  I have not seen him.  Go bed 10 P.M.

Part cloudy S.1.  Rheumatiz seems to be getting all over me.  I manage to hitch up.  My renewal to R.H. by Chas. Jones has not shown up yet. have been buying it for several days.  Last Sat. was last number with lable.  It has been renewed.  Rhoda washes AM.  I did not hear from Parker or Harman.  There was light shower 4 AM.  (.02).  I drove S.W. PM.  They are putting in concrete culvert on Woodson road so  I turn W and get around to Wrightsville and finally home about 6 P.M.  Roads somewhat muddy Gravel good.  I feel poorly all day and take B.M.p. at night.  Muggs spent night at Seftons.  Tue and (?) went uptown.  Gobed  9.30

Clear, N.E.1.  Kate and Stella came about  9 AM and decide to hire a horse to take them over to Ashmore.  I drove to Andrews and order material to repair  barn at farm.  PM I drove over and saw Parker.  Will begin roofing barn Monday morning.  BPA ship lumber to Loxa paying freight.  I drove SW returning by Woodson Road getting home after six.  Kate was here when I got home and stayed the night.  In evening Kate relates some experience in Cal.  She has divorced from Mr.  Bacon.  The pump in cellar is our of commish P.M.  Most clear day go bed 9.30

About clear, wind NW.  Stopped to look at Ruth's silk worms.  They look larger then mine did last year.  Father and I went out to G. Linder's after hedge after dinner.  Learn that his affairs for pension has been rejected.  Appearance of heavy rain with much thunder about 2 P.M., but little fell here.  Jake Linder died this morning Had not been sick long.  First two loads of lumber came up from the timber today.  Drove with Tue down to Depot to take Mapes girls valises.  Went with Ruth and Maggie up to Anderson's after hedge.  Gobed 9,30 P.M.  Oldest worms are preparing for their exit molt.  Mice still at them.
