12,  Monday, 6.30  AM.  Ther.  62.  93.  80.
Partly cloudy, wind S.E.  Forget to send Wilhoits box.  Mrs. Dickenson washes.  Shower about 8 AM   Very sultry and mostly clear day.  People generally getting ready for the fair.  Riley show in town to continues during week.  Cormer was in P.M.  No saw here yet says the R.R. will inspect balance of lumber tomorrow.  Need two ,men to handle it.  Went down to Comer's at night he will help tomorrow.  Order carpets of Dunsweg.  Go bed 9.30.

Cloudy, wind N.E.  Got letters from J. O. W. for box but it failed to go.  Bim was down at dinner time.  Pay Riley Easton 2.00 on boards.  Cows in garden A.M.  Nail up back gate  Tue went up to Mrs. Norfolks who has been sick.   Cormer was in town toward night  first time since day of accident.  Saw has not come yet.  Jake Edeman  down while eating supper.   Pay Rub Davis/100 bal due on lumber for steps on lumber for steps last spring.  Mostly cloudy day.  Wind E. or N.E.  Gobed 9.30 PM

Thursday, July 16, 1912  5.30  AM.  Ther.  62.  84.  74.  = 73 1/3
Cloudy, N.E. 3.  McNeel have a fellow pecking on furnace.  Says intends to finish it today.  I start Ranch 8.15 AM.getting to Simons before 10 AM.  John went out to woods with me.  Every thing looks about the same as at last visit  which was Aug 6, 1911.  Jack dog and self eat dinner at usual camp.  There was heavy rain her yestereve and people cant work in fields.  Simons with Johnny Handly  and Hally cut the poles P.M. and will deliver them up town up town tomorrow.  I left for home before 4 P.M. getting there 5.30  Self horse and dog stood trip better than expected.  Mostly cloudy day AM. and clear P.M. and quite warm.  Wind N.E.3.  Took mare Nickles night  Tue went B. Concert night.  Go bed 10 P.M.

Saturday, July 16, 1887,  5.30 A.M.  Ther.  80.  100.  86.
Clear, Tue finished ironing Draw & "break" bbl of river water  They are going to shutoff the water works tomorrow.   W...make repairs  Went up town about 3 P.M.  Gave Cormer bill for City lumber.  they have begun delivering  R.R. bill.  Can't find any green fruit in town so buy some canned. Get out oat meal  D apples, D beef.  Bert in to supper.  Brought my mare and took home his own, says uncle John wont have her out there.  Kate Davis over while toward night.  Go bed 10 P.M.

Saturday, June 8 1912.  5.30 AM.  Ther.  40.  72.  60 = 57 1/3
Clear, N.E.2  Oil buggy and hitch up driving up town for meat and potatoes, which I get at A.G. Armstrongs N.G.  Phebe and I build good fire in furnace A.M.  I phone Harman early. will take material from Loxa to place.  I took Kate over to Franks P.M.  She expects to visit us later for several days.  They go to Libby's to night near Mattoon.  I drove up by Stodderts toward night.  Corn not making much growth, too cold.  Grove's folks much better today.  Mostly clear NE to E Wind.  The roads are good Tue to neighbors at night.  Phebe away with Ora Webb.  Go bed 9 P.M.

Wednesday, June 8, 1887  5.30 AM.  Ther.  72.  89.  70.
Clear.  Start for timber 7.20 AM. to give Cormer City order  500 ft.  Drove over place  a while.  He says there will not be as much lumber on N. end as we thought.  Got home just dinner time.  Tue and self went up to Davis to see Ruth's silkworms.  This has been  very hard day on mine at store as most of them are in the fourth molt.  Jake Linder was buried this P.M.  Races are going on at Terre Haute.  Jeff and several others went over.  Mrs. Laind washed.  Go bed 10 P.M.
