Friday, June 7, 1912.  5.30 AM.  Ther. 52.  76.  52. = 60
Clear, N.E.1.  Kate and Stella came about  9 AM and decide to hire a horse to take them over to Ashmore.  I drove to Andrews and order material to repair  barn at farm.  PM I drove over and saw Parker.  Will begin roofing barn Monday morning.  BPA ship lumber to Loxa paying freight.  I drove SW returning by Woodson Road getting home after six.  Kate was here when I got home and stayed the night.  In evening Kate relates some experience in Cal.  She has divorced from Mr.  Bacon.  The pump in cellar is our of commish P.M.  Most clear day go bed 9.30

Tueday, 6 AM. Ther.  74.  86.  70 
About clear, wind NW.  Stopped to look at Ruth's silk worms.  They look larger then mine did last year.  Father and I went out to G. Linder's after hedge after dinner.  Learn that his affairs for pension has been rejected.  Appearance of heavy rain with much thunder about 2 P.M., but little fell here.  Jake Linder died this morning Had not been sick long.  First two loads of lumber came up from the timber today.  Drove with Tue down to Depot to take Mapes girls valises.  Went with Ruth and Maggie up to Anderson's after hedge.  Gobed 9,30 P.M.  Oldest worms are preparing for their exit molt.  Mice still at them.

Wednesday,   May 29, 1912   5.40 AM.  Ther 58. 60. 56 =58.
Mostly cloudy N.3.  Get stuff ordered Nick yest.  Colman on duty at Interurban.  Met Cooney Scheyetl.  He lives and works in Chicago.  Tue and Phebe finish ironing.  Tue has determined not to get Ellen any more.  they are cutting the hay on library lot.  Some of the aldermen get it.  Tue and Phebe up town P.M.  I get shave at Brown's pd.  Helen phones in wanting to borrow my mare to disc with.  They didn't  get her.  I drove out to Dicewood late P.M. nothing doing.  Cloudy day with stiff north wind.  The mud about dried up.  Tue write Buddy night.  Go bed 10

Sunday, May 29, 1887  7 AM  Ther 68. 82. 67.  
Some cloudy.  Look over things up at store.  There is some prospect for license some people think.  Delia has company most of the day.  Tue down to  Dowlings after dinner with baby and Phebe.  I d drove a while with Maggie and went after osage.  Gobed 9 P.M.  Phebe not well.

Monday.  5.30 AM. Ther. 60,84,70. = 71 1/3
Clear S.S.W.3.  Tue writes to Buddy****, mail letter at P.O.  Talk with Hodgen near court house about mushrooms.  He has some important papers of mine in safe which must get.  Mrs. Curd and Pinnell are making improvements.  The rats still patronise(sic)  my trap.  Tue and I drive out to the cemetery late P.M.  Will take more work than are able to do to fix up lot.  Stop at  H & H* who are living in Mrs. Clark's house at present.  Learn that Magie** is going to move to Oklahoma soon.  Clear day fresh to  strong S.S.W wind.  Tue over at Grove's at night.  Mrs. G took her third treatment and believes it is helping her.  Am reading over some of old diaries and find some would expunge.  Emmett phones at night that would like to work tomorrow.  I tell him come.  Will mow yard &c.  Tue writes to Muggs** and Phebe***.  We expect the latter home next week.  My mouth has swelled up again making me about sick.  Gobed 10.

Friday, May 20, 1887, 6.30.  Ther, 72, 88,67  
Clear.  Warm day and some  of rain.  Mr. Young came in AM with boy and hoed out berry patches but not feeling well didn't put straw over them.  Intended  to go down to Comers today, but will see him tomorrow.  Bought Hurod's baby Carriage for $7.00.  I pay him in wood.  It needs some repairs.  Delia and Tue clear little bedroom and Tue decides to sleep up stairs for a while.  Went up to Anderson's after Osage.  Mr.  Young with me.  Drive with girls before supper out by old place with Tue after supper.  Gobed.

May 13,1912 & 1887 in Charleston, Illinois

Monday, May 13, 1912.  8.30 A.M.  Ther. 38, 68,54 = 53 1/3
Clear. S.W.1  There was a light white frost.  Tue and Ellen repair old rocking chair &c today.  Tue gets letters from Muggs and Phebe.  P. thinks she will be home in two weeks.  Tue went to Loxa on 3 car returning at 6.  I drove E.  P.M.   Roads some muddy.  Farmers not at work  Tand E went over to Mrs. Curds at night and later Tue went over to Groves staying till 10 P.M.  Mostly clear day with light variable winds go bed 9. P.M.

Friday, May 13, 1887  6.30 A.M>  Ther.  64,86, 70  Clear, remainder of my silkworm eggs mostly hatch.  Those recd. from Ag. Dep. show signs of hatching.  See Al Prevo up town, he has come from Bessemer, Ala. to attend Funeral of his mother in law.  Took Tue and baby for drive toward night.  Gobed 10 P.M.
