Part cloudy S.2.  There was light rain in night about 12 and after (.17 in.)  David came 7 A. and worked all day Pd 3.50 for yest and today.  Got Colby to repair the hydrant.  It was pretty well worn out.  David laid good tile wastes from it to 5th ST. and get everything in good shape again.  Tue iron most of  day.  I drove out to Huffmans late P.M.  Dirt road only damp but will soon be dry~~  Tue got long letter from Buddy.  She didn't talk much like coming home Christmas.  Neither does Muggs.  We are looking for Phebe this week.  Mostly clear day with moderate S. to W. wind.  Go bed 8.30

Partly clear.  Pleasant day.  Wind Southwesterly . . .  Wrote to Uncle  Mark* inquiring about apples.  Good many people in town.  Roads said to be very bad.  Comer in toward night.  I agree to stand 5c. per hundred on hauling the Coal Shaft bill now sawed.  Buy dressed pig of C. Donsch $5.60 @ 7c. which they sent down after dark.  Comer thinks they  can go to hauling Monday if it does not rain before.  Hat was down in the morning.  Gobed.  10 P.M.

Part Cloudy.  E.1. red.  Ice. 1/4 David came 7.  I did not expect him.  Edith Bates called AM. begging.  David  cut  wood till 9 AM after which he raked and burnt leaves and began to take out leaking hydrant at  barn.  When find we have hard job on that.  He worked till 5 PM and will return in morn.  I drove down to R.R. AM looking  found for some coal.  Mostly cloudy day with variable moderate winds.  Weather bureau does not predict rain but it looks a good deal like it.  Tue ironing most of day.  Harman sends us piece of meat by Paul.  Gob 8.30 P

Cloudy wind S. Cloudy all day with S. Westerly wind cleared off about clear after dark. Tell Hibbared to cancel insurance policy on apples.   Bill Pate has been hauling lumber to coal shaft all the week.  Comer claims he can't haul unless I pay extra for it.  The city is wanting lumber badly.  This weather will make good roads in a few days if it does not rain.  Tue fixing over a dress for Phebe.  Won a small turkey in a raffle at Wrights last night.  Gobed 10 PM

Clear. S.W. Alfred came early and did his work.  David sick and can't work as agreed.  Alfred reports several of family sick.  There are many cases  typhoid in  town.  Irene came in AM paying Bert's note 127.00 with interest 133.70 total.  Tue deposit 125.00 of same at 2nd getting book.  I was up town.  Saw Simons but couldn't get to speak to him.  Drive to C.I.P.S. C0. office and pay E. light bill for  Nov. 2.51.  Clear day with fresh southwesterly winds.  Harman phone that Linder will take my crib corn at 42 at Neal Place; decide not to sell now.  They have been hauling 8 in. tile from Record and have nearly enough for line - The west gully.  Learn that J.K. Rardin died at Sanitarium early this morning.  Tue went to Hat's after supper till 9.30.  go bed 10 P.M.

Clear. Rec. letter from Uncle Henry saying Uncle G. was not expected to live through the winter.  Sell C. Winter Ag.P. 670 ft. 2 in. plank. Crass helped load lumber little while, say about an hour.  Mrs.  Rogers ironed P.M.  Crass has promised to help at ties tomorrow.  Buy cups 15.  Pay dray on lumber, 25.  Clear all day clouding up a little toward night.  Gobed 10 P.M.  Buy list slippers J.M.&G. CO.

Clear.  S.W.3.  David works AM at cutting up scraps.  Helps hitch up about.(sic)  Too cold to dig our barn hydrant.  Tue went to RC at Harryman's  P.M.  I drove out by fairgrounds toward night.  The roads are fine and quite dusty.  Mort and Kate were over at night but I retired early and didn't see them~~  Clear day with fresh southwest winds.  The authorities have declared the river water unwholesome and suggests that it must be boiled before using.  Gobed 8 PM

Clear, fine, wind, SW.  Mrs. Rogers washed.  Maggie and Phebe too dinner.  Walked down to Nicholson place.  All Tony's folks moved out last week.  Place looks pretty  hard.    Comer was in P.M. says will come up Thursday to pile up  switch ties.  Crass has promised to help, he owes me 75c.  Sell Beugner Bbl. Wagner apples which deliver , must have been  very rotten.  Tue has been giving baby little air every day lately and she sleeps much better for it.  Gobed 9 PM

Clear.  N.W.2.  Our New W.C. &c. froze up this morn but we soon got it running.  Pay telephone for Nov. 1.80.  Tue writes to M W & Co for weather strips mailing letter at night.  1.20 per express.~~ David would have worked today but too cold to dig ~~I didn't hitch up nor go up town.  Mostly clear with fresh NW wind becomes S.W. P.M.  go 9.

Cloudy wind W.  Cloudy all day scattering snow flakes flying  wind southwesterly.  Apples are getting low.  Have only about 20 Bbl. left.  Pay 200.00 on apple note and make new note for bal. 139.00.  Write to Dick Curd and Al Prevo sending a/cs.  Buy coffee green and dry at M. Cornnells.  Snider was in a while P.M.  Gobed 10 P.M.  Got warmer after dark.
