April 19-21, 1913 in Charleston, Illinois

19.  Saturday.  5.45 A.  Ther.  42.  68.  54.  = 54 2/3
Clear, NE.2 Ray reported yesterday that was not able to work any more after hitching I drove down to Fritz's.  He will work for me Monday and longer after dinner Tue and Muggs attend picture show at C.H.  I stay at home sleeping and reading.  Take first chew of tob. since Christmas today.  It did not agree with me.  Tue got home at 6 P.M.    I drive to creamery for cream.  Muggs got in at bedtime.  Tue spent evening at Grove's getting home after 9.  I took mare to Nickles.  Part cloudy with fresh NE wind.  Not much crowd in town.  Chilly have furnace fire.  Gobed 9.30

20.  Sunday.  6 AM.  Ther.  40.  64.  48.  =  50 2/3
Clear mostly N.E. 3.  I order mare for 8 AM thinking of trip to Loxa, but too chilly for the drive.  Neither Tue nor Muggs go to church.  I make lot of card boxes for my tomato plants.    my mouth not to painful but feel badly.  The boys did not play ball on library lot today for some reason.  Phones Thomas Shera and wife call to see Maggie 4 P.M.  I drive out far as  I drive out far as Huffmans at 6 P.M.  Clear day; moderate SE wind gobed 10 P.M.

21.  Monday. 6 AM.  Ther.  42.  76.  60.  = 67 1/2
Part cloudy. S.E.4.  Fritz came 7 AM working all day.  Spaded and plant some garden, trim some: mows yard first time this season  went to R.R. with me: will come tomorrow.  I look at fence at Davis and at Andrews paying BPA & Co. 100.00  Mare scared at a car at lumber yard.  Maggie gets ready and starts back to her work at Jeff City going on 2.14 P.M. train which was nearly an hour late.  Mrs. Grove over at night and she with Tue went  over to Mrs. Leroy's.  Mostly clear day with strong SE wind AM light hazy.  H.G. pays for old watch.  Gobed 10 AM

Part Cloudy E.2.  I felt poorly this morn.  Rhoda Smith comes to wash.  Try all AM to Phone Nick getting him at noon.  Package got 3 P.M.  Rhoda finished at noon staying to dinner.  Tue and Phebe went funeral P.M.  Geo.  Lippincott.  He was injured by cars a few days ago.  Tue was down to Hats while P.M.  Light rain with some thunder began say 4 P.M. continues till dark.  Fern Nichols who has been away trimming(?) home today.  She and Ora call at night.  There was appearance of heavy rain N.W.  Hope it reached Loxa.  Mostly cloudy P.M.  Gobed 9.30

Clear, Baby not very well but not yet broken out.  Mrs. Laird washes.  Father and I went after hedge twice afternoon to Hickory.  Maggie and Ruth went after supper.  Her worms are mostly spinning.  CG  doesn't feel pretty well today.  Hot day, perfectly clear.  Milt Davis over at night.  Timesexpress(?) Lecture on street at night.  This is the  30 day for my worms.  Rene called P.M.  Write letter to M.N. Uri and to Ch Bot works.  Gobed 10 P.M.
