Most cloudy N.E. 2.  Rhoda washes and irons till 2 P.M.  Mostly clear day and averages the hottest to date this year.  Too hot to move round much light variable winds.  No signs of rain.  After 5 P.M.  I drive south to Kickapoo soak up old buggy wheels return via Wrightsville getting home 7 P.M.  Am still waiting for new axels.  Tue patched up old hammock in garden.  The girls went over to Wolmsley's P.M.  My pain in side much better P.M.  Phebe and Muggs dye a red dress.  Gobed 9 P.M.

Clear wind S.  Drove out to coal shaft after breakfast then to Comer's to Janesville, Linder land and back home at  4.30 P.M.  Seph McClasky went with me.  Roads good. Fresh S. wind all day, cloudy toward night.  Tue  and girls up at Davis.  Go bed 10.30 P.M.

14.  Monday. 6 AM.  Ther.  40.  50. 44.
Clear but clouds over and rained a little about 9 AM.  Mrs.  Young came to wash but went home on account of the rain.  Wind changed to N.W. before noon getting cooler.  Comer was in P.M. we went out to Coal Shaft.  Got another lumber bill from Cumming.  Rec. letter from Brunen saying will be here in morning to look at switch ties.  Council began today  and good many people in town.  Gobed 9.30 P.M.  Kate Perrill  and friend call at night.  Sold Shackleford some old lumber.

15.  Tuesday  6 AM.  Ther.  37.55.  44.
Clear.  Wind, about N.   Met Bruner  up town went daown to switch ties.  He  seems well pleased with them. Drove down to Kickapoo before dinner.  Riley Easton brought up a load of posts which don't suit me very well.  Trade dull today.  Clear day wind S.E. toward night.  Mrs. Young washes.  Mrs. Feagan over in evening.  Tue not very well non self. coudn't sleep.  Drank ten for supper.  Phebe crys good deal in night.  Go bed 9.30 PM

Clear, NW.3.  I grate ear corn making some good pancakes.  This is nearest frost since spring.  Think my trouble becoming chronic.  Not much change in rheumatics or bowels.  My appetite pretty good, but am afraid to eat all I want.  The "Country Gent" subscription has expired.  I may not renew it.  Tue went up town with Mrs. Curd P.M.  Alfred carries up coal &c. we kept a little fire in furnace all day.  Chimney choked up.  I drove SW late P.M. to Kickapoo and take mare to Nickles.  Clear day fresh northerly wind variable toward night.  Tue feels badly and got meddy  of Dr. Starr P.M.  Gobed 9 P.    Mare to Nickles

Part cloudy.  There was heavy  dash rain about 3 AM with thunder (.13)  Drive down by Kickapoo S.W. return by Lattas farm.  Met him on the road Says has rented his farm for five years and is going away.  The roads are somewhat  muddy in spots ~  Tue got letter form  Phebe who arrived at Chicago all right Sunday.  My Rheumaties (sic) bad today.  Proved to be  one of hottest of season.  Heavy thunder showers from 4 P.M. till in  night Meas 6 AM (14th) (1,08 in). Gobed 9.30 P.M

Part cloudy, N.2.  Spend an hour or two fixing up old buggy and harness.  Frommel repairs traces. Sibert removes front shoes.  Tue went out  to Chautauqua AM staying until night.  I drove south P.M. to Kickapoo and beyond.  Met Mel Stark and others Walker's Ford.  Lindsey Barnes has field of big B.C.  He lives on McKinzie place near Mt. Zion.  Mort and Kate over at night on  porch only.  I did not meet them.  I  take mare to Nickles:  Snorff boy brought me home.  Fair day with moderate northerly wind.  Go bed 9.30

Clear.  Started down to mill with H.G. before 8 A.M.   Commer says about finished up.    Where he is ,  We came home by Farmington getting in 3 P.M.  the dust in places is immense.  What corn I saw did not amount to much.some dryer down there than here.  Hot close day, no clouds.  Hat spent day with Tue.  Mrs. Perrill, Kate P. and Mrs. Davis call at night.  Baby and Phebe are better.  Go bed 9 P.M.

Cloudy S.1. Light fog early.  After getting the paper took a trip to Emmett's  Find him engaged indefinitely on trolly (sic) line.   Tue attends Church A.M. leaving girls to get dinner.  They let the beans burn &c X  The  National Democratic Convention  is still in session at Baltimore having adjourned until Monday.  Buddy has decided to start home tomorrow.  I drove south of town P.M. going far as junction of Kickapoo and Ambraw*.  I met John Hogg on my way home.  He collided with me.  I get home 7 P.M.  All out at night leaving me with baby.  He woke up and cried long time.  Later in night he fell out of bed.  Part clear day with light southerly winds.  Gobed 10 P.M.

~The Weather for June 1912, Mean temp. 69.  Max 90 on 15th, 27th and 28th.  Min. 40 on 8th.  Precipitation 3.28 in. one inch on 1st. 1.05 on 16th.  .47 on 18th and .55 on 20th.  Rain fell on 13 days.  Thunder on 1,13,14,15,16,19,20,27,28 and 29th.  Clouds 36%  The month has been below average in temperature.  Crops are looking good.  It is getting dry for gardens &c.  The streams still carry lots of water.  Corn in the 70 s  oats say 40 country butter 25  Eggs 15.  Meadows good but few. Fungi has not appeared since about May 1.  It has been too dry and cool.

Mostly cloudy.  Very warm night.  Tue about sick this morning.  Mrs. Davis helping Tue sew.  Took harness up to Skidmore's to have mended up.  Buy gasoline stove of Miller, but fear we won't like it.  Uncle  John in town P.M.  Thinks I better get Bert's mare to drive.  Pleasant very warm day with fresh S. wind some cloudy but no rain.  Buy gal. raspberries at Mitchells @50 c.  Kate Myers over a little while at night~.  Go bed 10.30
