100 Years Ago

Tuesday, May 7, 1912  5.00 A.M.  Ther, 60,82, 64 = 68 2/3  Clear  or nearly, southerly 2.  Mrs. Eagleston leaves A.M.  She will call on Buddy.  Tue and Ellen getting ready to clean S.R.  I drove west to Burks woods A.M.  Thinking to find some Morels, didn't see one.  Later Bill Hill gave me  a mess which he purchased of boy @ 16c per doz.  Mostly  clear day with south to W. wind.  Complain of feelin some better yest and today.  C.D.McG. ate too many morels recently and is still sick.  Tue over to Mrs. Knocks toll 9o.c.  Tue's chest still bad but she keeps to work.  Go bed 10.

Saturday, May 7, 1887  6.30 A.M.  Ther. 55, 75, 59  Nearly clear, foggy early.  Dull morning at store but better in afternoon.  run out of beer and barrow of Schener.  Young sets out Agougan Blackberry  and Soretegan Raspberries  Got letter of Maria Faheys also pictures of Aunt Maria and children.  Uncle John in town  Has been staying on prairie with Brin for two weeks.  Buy 6 1/2 lb butter of Snider gave 50c subcription for Lemons who has had both arms broken falling from car.  Pleasant (?) day.  Gobed 11 P.M.
