Sunday, May 5, 1912,  6 AM, Ther. 62,84,66 = 70 2/3
Cloudy S.2.  Heavy thunder showers 3 to 4 AM  Meas. .88 in at 7 AM.  Shave in part before breakfast.  Oil buggy and hitch up.  It was hard job for me today.  I drove my favorite trip returning by Wrightsville &c.  Left at 10 get home 12.15.  We have got no Record Herald for several days owing to strike among the printers.  Another thunder between 2 & 3 PM.  Light  rain here (.08).  Mrs. here most of P.M. eating supper and attends church with Tue at night.  She went to the Lawes* for the night.  Mrs. Hahn calling for her.  The roads generally pretty good.  The rain made some mud.  Could not find Morel.  Got little bunch copriness micaceous.**  Learn on trees coming out fast.  Gobed 10 P>M

Thursday, May 5, 1887    6 A.M.  Ther. 60, 70, 53  Cloudy considerable rain in night.  Had big mess of mushrooms for breakfast.  Young came to set out bushes, but too wet.  Write out bonds and petition for license, but don't suppose there is any chance.  Sign HGs* bond for supervisor.  Council meets at night and work late.  Tue still very sore throat.  Mostly cloudy day and growing cooler.  11 PM
