Wednesday May 3, 1912, 6 AM.  Ther. 30, 56, 44 = 43 1/3  Thin ice.  Clear. N.E.2 Emmett came 7 and finished raking yard.  Coal out.  Get ton Fullers delivered in back yard.  Emmett wheels to cellar.  Tue up town AM getting rug for dining room.  She bought this book for me at W.E.H. paid 50c.  Emmett cutting up scraps P.M.  Picks up north of old house will come in morning.  Edith Bates calls P.M.  I went up town late P.M. and to P.O. pay box to July.  I got a letter for Ellen.  Mostly clear day S.2.  Reading Bocacio at night.  Gobed 9.30

125 Years Ago

Thursday, May 3, 1887,  6.15 AM  Ther 53, 64, 52  Cloudy, light rain good part of night.  Damp and chilly morning.  Went with F. Knock after mushrooms up in Deckers pasture got enough for a mess which we had for supper.  Order 10 cases beer of Beat.  Pay F.M. Parker 50cents for a gallon of of mushrooms at night.  He and Weiss got about  half bushel.  Get old buggy repaired a little down at Sam Rays.  Cloudy most of day.  McClellened took pnaomies to Chester tonight.  Buy fish of Owen 20c and pay him 40 for chicken bought (?)  Gobed 11PM.
