Cloudy showers last night to 7 A.M.  .45 wind N.4  Tue did not get up until nearly 8 AM.  She attends church AM getting paper.  Can't get  R.H.  Cloudy day with light rain much of time Strong northerly wind.  Clearing at night.  Tue  and E. to concert at  night.  Didn't hitch up.  Kept mare in barn.  The rain since 7 AM only .05.  Keep good fire in furnace and am about out of coal. 9,30

Thursday, May 12, 1887,  6.30 A.M.  62,82,63  About clear.  Tue and Delia cleaning in E. room upstairs.  Silk worms hatch out good.  Many thousand  from Washington show no sign of it yet.  H.G.* here in morning.   Decide not to buy a team to put on streets at present.  Help put down carpet up stairs.  Sprinkle rain toward night.  Go bed 11 P.M.  Eastin papering house.
