Settle with him 1.50 cash fr pk, Settle with Emmett to date check 6.45 Glasco's will haul off then(sic) brick. King finishes D.R. floor Harman phones has paid Darling 4.00 hay on ditch. D. owes 12.50 Tue varnishes S. Chamber floor. Harman did not come in as he said. I met Warren A.M.; reports roads very bad in places. Dr. Walker still in jail. Tue's old hen got hurt and she killed her. She was the last of the farm stock. One Grant called wants job. Self poorly today. Mrs. Grove quite feeble. Tue went over at night. Go bed 10.
Wednesday, April 27 1887 6.30 A.M. Ther 53, 70, 58 Some cloudy all day. Young comes early spades up and set a strawberry bed getting plants in bottom. Plant beets carrots parsnips sage, lettuce, radish salify and early beans. Send 27.40 for US licence but forgot to swear to statement. Order 2.90 Bby and raspberry plants from S&H Co.* The grand jury adjourned today. They found an indictment against Young ./ **wait on bond for his appearance at court. Phebe about sick stays home. Tue went over to Myers and Curt Davis in P.M. Thunder and lightening in evening and heavy thunder shower in night. Gobed 10.30 P.M.
