Mostly clear. S.E.2. A gouty tac on left kept me awake most of night. I get load small nut coal. Tower Hill. AM. 2960 lbs. am out and this is the first. Tue gets letter from Buddy. I get Winters to order hat for me. buy pair of Henson gloves 1.25 all Cr. Talk with Harry Messeck. He has sownC.h. of phosphate borrowing drill of Max Gorffin. I went P.M. out to Reeds for Peaches. Mrs. R. says not ripe yet. I continue on stopping at Sander's. Get three chickens of Mrs. S. paying 1.00 Think too much. Got home 6 P.M. Mostly clear day with strong southwind. I made pot mush after supper. Go bed 9.

Clear S.2. Rhoda came washing and ironing. I drove down E. of Normal. Get a few puff balls. Helen Ferrish and George here to dinner. John F. is sick. I did not see Ad. Miller except at long range. Get shave Br. P.M. After 3 P.M. I drove to town line. There are few fungi coming. I return by Watson road which they are plowing and scraping today. Talk again with H. Missick. He has sown car of rock Ph. Get home 6 P.M. Tue and Mrs. Brooks attend prayer meeting at night. Most clear day S.4. Go bed 9 PM

Clear. Cow refused to give us any milk this morning and had probably been milked. Clean out part of bookcase and burn up lot of trash. Talked of going out to Uncle John's with Tue after dinner but Mrs. Robinson came over after dinner and we gave it up. Tue and I pick the peaches left in garden and balance of the grapes. Mow grass for cow at night - father has lame leg. Go bed 9 PM~~
24. Monday. 5.30 AM. Ther. 49. 72. 55.
Clear. Got started at 8 oc. took a saddle down today and after dinner rode all over south part of timber. Four men at work AM. five P.M. Enoch Johnson began again at noon. Brown hauling rails in P.M. Mrs. Brown rode home with me. Mrs. Dickenson washed today. Tue suffering from tooth ache. Gobed 9.15 PM.
