26. Thursday. 5.45 AM. Ther. 75. 92. 74.
Cloudy and sprinkle rain before 7 AM. Start for timber with John Abbot about 9 oc. He worked while there at sawing paling. Very heavy shower came up from NE just as we were going to start home. Road very muddy, but little rain up town. Very warm day got home at about 8.30 Gobed 10 PM
27. Friday, 6.15 Ther. 78. 93. 80.
Partly cloudy. Abbott comes before 7 AM to saw wood. Learn that Wes Caylor died last Friday ago. had been sick some time. Got Tom Reeder to haul load of old lumber down for wood. Tue, self and children went out to Uncle John's just before noon and stayed all day very uncomfortable. One of the warmest days we have had. Got home about dark. Sprinkle rain on road home. Baby may very well has caught cold. Uncle John not very well. Says we can have a cow with young calf. He has fine colt which think, will lose. Gobed 10 PM.
28. Saturday. 5.30 AM. Ther. 75. 90. 74.
Partly cloudy. Tue puts up some green corn and pie plant. Some signs of rain showers round. Warren Decker brings in petition to which Bob Brown got thirteen signers. Reciving note from Braumer saying they had recieved all my ties. Got the money $59.60 P.M. Deposit at 2nd 55.00 of it. went out to Uncle John's toward night to see about getting cow. Kelly went with me and we will go after her tomorrow morning early. Prohibition camp meeting began today and will continue ten days. Leran that Zack Huffman is dead. Abbott finish sawing scraps and settle with him $1.75 cash. McMurtice put on new sky light at store yesterday. Gobed 10 PM.
29. Sunday, 5.30 AM. Ther. 72. 91. 76.
About clear. Kelly and self start for Uncle John's at 7.30. Got cow home after time about noon. She is pretty wild and we left calf with her tonight. Warm day and no signs of rain. Wind S. and light. Zach Huffman was buried today, had been sick several months, Gobed 9.30 AM.
30. Monday 5.15 Ther. 68. 93. 76.
Clear. Cow and calf gone this morning. Went out to Uncle John's in morning she was not there nor could we find her anywhere in time. Baby feeling badly. Tue and self drove round time after supper taking baby. With girls a while after very hot but all slept up stairs. Very clear day. Go bed 10 PM
31 Tuesday 4.55 Ther. 74. 97. 81. clear. Tue and self got breakfast and went out to Uncle John's and round by Stockton looking for cow and calf. Could hear nothing other got home 9 AM. Start at 6.15 leaving girls in bed. Miss Kumayer scrubs out hall and puts my things out doors. Went up to get hover but not cleaned off so didn't go. Order Bbl. flour of McComwell. Co. Buy coffee and bacon got some liver. This has been the (?) for heat. Wind S. lightning NE at night. Gobed 10 PM.

1. Wednesday 4.40 AM Ther. 80. 97. 76.
Clear. drove out to Uncle John's after breakfast. they found the cow yesterday morning down by Klines. Think hurt (?) yesterday as she does not seem to feel very well. Shower with good deal of thunder and wind came up about 2 PM, quite heavy rain here but little north west of town. Drove a while after supper. Tu e gets Mrs. Dickerson to wash tomorrow. Mrs. R. couldn't come. Mrs. W has quit. Gobed 10 PM.
2. Thursday, 4.50 AM Ther. 79. 96. 80.
Clear. Mrs. Dickerson washes. Not feeling very well self to much hot. Mrs. Davis gets home afternoon has been gone two or three weeks. Drove a while at night with Tue. Very warm. Billy Kelly paints roof over c(?) and gutter. Thought of going out to Uncle Js tonight but Tue wouldn't. Fire bell rang early AM. Gobed 11 PM.
