Cloudy foggy and raining N.3. There were heavy showers about and after 5 A.M. Rain to 7 AM. 1.26 R < Snow later.15 total. 1.41. Light rain at times turning to snow flurries toward night. G.W. Parker formerly of Charleston died at St. Louis yesterday. One of the young man roomers paid up today, The other still in arrears. Tue wrote to Muggs and Marie. Phebe up town late P.M. getting my mail, - one unimportant cive (sic). The branch higher than has been since last Spring. Less than 1/4 in snow fell today. We have had substantially no snow this winter altogether it would not measure an inch. Gobed 8.30

Mostly /cloudy. Wind N. Take meat out of brine. Baby was sick in the night. Bought a pair of brown undershirts $3.00 pd. for them. Bought some more buckwheat and sauce. Go shave at Mitchells. We have a stray turkey living with us. The one got at the raffle does not get fat. Snider was in toward night but I didn't see him. Baby not well all day, worse at night. Thought of sending for Dr. but didn't. Sleighing said to be first rate, has been for about two weeks. Maggie did not go to school. Bruner writes me they are going to inspect ties 1/26 or 28 inst. Go bed 10 PM.
