Cloudy, SW.1. Rheumatics worse than ever this morn but I hitch up my mare. Write letter to Phebe enclosing 10.00 for birthday. Later P.M. drive down by Wrightsville going by Myers have return by hog farm. A dash of rain about noon has made the roads somewhat muddy round town at W.ville. There was no rain. Harman phones that would be in for lumber. I did not see him. He has not threshed his oats yet. All oats round Charleston have been threshed. I called on Parker late P.M. says they finished piling old shop at Loxa today. They will go out Wednesday to work on B.C. shed. Harman phones that the roofing is hauled out. Take mare to Nickles. Part cloudy, southerly wind. Gobed 9.30
