9.  Friday.  6 AM.  Ther.  68.  78.  64. = 70.
Cloudy S.1.  Alfred Smith came  mowing on yard till rain stopped him.  It rained much of AM pretty heavy at times with heavy thunder (.65) I  decided not to come up till about noon.  Tue got letter from Buddy.  She has decided not to come up.  I met Parker up town, says P. +P. worked about 3 hours at Loxa AM.  Bill Scott calls for fence Catalogue.  I drove to town P.M. and SW but cut short trip afc (sic)  thunder storm.  Get breeching at Frommel's.  Heavy rain about sunset with much thunder (.55)  All electric lights out till about 10 P.M.  Tue and girls ironing AM and sewing P.M.  Phebe is going to Chicago soon.  My rheuatiz has settled down to bad all time.  The furnace still down.  Gobed 9.  Take mare to Nickles
