August 17-18, 1887

17   Wednesday.  6 AM  Ther.  71.  80.  68.
Mostly cloudy.  Ther. 72 at 8 oc AM. but fell to 68 raining a little while.  Bought a plank at Mintons to make a ladder with 50c.  Down at Depot where 12.17 train arrived.  Dave Morris set hitching post in front of store but didn't get it perpendicular.  Drove down to Snider's after folks toward night - Tue and baby with me, girls with Snider Fan stayed till about 8 P.M.  Pleasant day and mostly clear after the rain.  Gobed 10 PM.


18  Thursday  6 AM.  Ther.  68.  86.  70.
Mostly cloudy.  Mrs. Chancallar washes Mrs. EH Eastin sick today.  Kate Davis was over a while after supper.  Nellie Perrill has got home having been gone several weeks.  Have not heard anything from N.G.R.R. regarding bill of lumber sold them part of which has been received.  W. Decker finished hauling 5 cents to F. Knocks and begins on same amt. to Jerry McCarty.  This has been pleasant day with N.W. wind.  There has been much  more rain a mile or two south than here.  Gobed 10 P.M.
