Cloudy. S.W.3 Alfred Smith comes and "finishes" yard pay him 55c. Heavy thunder shower about 11 AM. (.53) Tue was up town. No wind Harman phones , says have plowed all their corn twice and some three times.They have been cutting weeds too wet to plow. Shave self P.M. after which drove E of town with usual result getting home 6 P.M.~ mare very scarey of fire crax. Balt. Dem. Convention have named Wilson and Marshall for P. + V.P. Mostly cloudy day Gobed 8.30 P.M.

Sunday, July 3, 1887 6 A.M. 76. 88. 75.
Cloudy most of forenoon wind S. Girls didn't go to Sunday School. Tue put up a few raspberries. Sprinkle rain several times during day ans showers at night. Have been trying to decide where to build a stable. Not feeling very well today my self. Quit chewing tobacco to night: didn't quit the other day when said I would. Cut hole in wood house roof for stove pipe. Bim was down yesterday and helped us move stove out of kitchen. Gobed 10 P.M.
