Tuesday, July 2, 1912,  5.30 A.M.  Ther.  70.  80.  72. = 70 2/3
Cloudy S. 2.  Tue canning some cherries she got of Mrs. Coon yesterday.  Charley McCravey died yesterday also  Cort Hayes.  Tue and Phebe work A.M. work  canning raspberries and cherries.  Rhoda's boy works a while with lawn mower.  He quit at noon promising to return in the morning. Showers A.M. until afternoon (.35)  I drove up to Dicewoods A.M. getting good  wetting instead of mushrooms.  There are positively no fungi appearing.  I have visited the woods two or three times a week since early  spring and have not seen a dozen altogether.  Mostly cloudy day with light southerly winds.  Gobed 10 P.M.

Saturday, July 2, 1887,6 A.M.  Ther. 74.  91.  75.
 Cloudy.  Hat was down in the morning.  Tue puts up a lot of raspberries red and black. Likes her stove better.  Rained a shower about noon.The first since June 31,  Comer was up in P.M. compare his count of lumber with H.G.'s then appears to be a shortage of about a thousandful.  Bert in at night.  Bought a gallon of raspberries at Mitchell's.  Buy fireworks for the girls.  Fix lot of silk butter at night.  Gobed 11 P.M.
