Wednesday, July 10, 1912 Ther 70. 84. 70. = 74 2/3Most ly cloudy S.2. Mare had foot fast in wire fence for the third time. I went to Brown's for shave(pd) after breakfast at 8 AM. Thunderstorm (.43) held me at meat shop for an hour. I did not hitch till after dinner went to bank 2 P.M. Jack Hurst reports big wind today at his place. Talk Bill Decker. Thinks can get cull ties cheap of Threlkeld. I drove E. to timber. Thunder NW sent sent me home before ready. Get home 5 P.M. Jack did not go with me. Much cloudy today and threatening all day. Much cloudy all day. Heavy storm 6 P.M. and after . The thunder and lightening were great. It continued over an hour. R. 2.10 inches this is the biggest we have had for several years. The branch was well up and trolley line shut down. Our electric lights were nixed all evening. Took mare to Nickles after storm first time since. Gobed 9 P.M.

Sunday, July 10, 1912 7AM Ther. 73. 90. 66.
Clear. Shaved myself before breakfast. Dug some potatoes in garden will not have many more than I planted owing to bugs and drouth.(sic) Girls went to Sunday school wearing blue dresses whichTue has just finished. Perfectly clear with E. wind and a little more comfortable than yesterday. Went up to store and stayed awhile after dinner. Everybody seems to be driving. My buggy not done so I have to stay at home. Write to Cha Bot Works remitting 11.00. Write Phobest Co. to inquire about over charge. Gobed 10.30
