Clear S.W.2 Get sickle sharpened and would have gone to cemetery could I have found Emmett. Met John Simons on S side with two loads wood. I tool Ellen to 1.20 PM Cloverleaf train. She is going to Bushton* for the coming week. Tue up town and at Groves most of PM. Mrs. G is quite poorly and is trying an osteopath Dr. Barnes. Shave self P.M. The Walker trial jury disagree at nine for conviction, putting the case off til Oct. court. The rats have again got good start at barn. I have trapped five of them this week. Clear day with brisk S.W. wind. There was a runaway on front street P.M. - little girl in buggy. No one hurt. Tue was over at Groves till after 9. Gobed 9.30

Foggy . Went up to Anderson's for Osage. Young has not got his well dug yet. Tried to get Crass to help about carpets but he is helping Alex Richter move building. Tue making herself a sunbonnet. JOW. asks for accomodations (sic), which he gets. They have an election PM to decide whether to build a new school House in place of Eastern S.H. condemned the S.H. carried by a large majority. The street gang moved the pile of rocks in front of my store. They have been there since last fall. Go bed 10 PM

ReplyDeleteDr Barnes is my relative (cousin)Finis Ewing Barnes 1872-1959. And his wife Hattie Galbreath is also a cousin. They lived on 11th street, not sure if he had his office there?
It is so nice that one of your relatives is mentioned in the journal!
