22. Wednesday, 7 AM. Ther 40. 55. 47
Mostly cloudy, easterly wind. Draft came from Mullins for Walnut lumber and I pay Comer his share. John McCormick puts in glass over door at store Warren and Jo up with wood which they put on yard. Mrs. Knock pays me for 3 cord of wood. Phebe not very well and takes pill at night. Father and self fix cover over part of hog pen. Mostly cloudy day wam.ith NE wind. light rain began between 8 and 9 PM. Gobed 12.30
23. Thursday, 6.30 AM Ther 42 55 43
6 AM. cloudy and raining from N.E. lightly Phebe not feeling well all day. Warren and John did not come up to work as intended owing to the rain Father and self pile wagon tonges Clean off and pleasant PM Uncle John in town gave him sack of turnips. He says he is abut to buy the Phelps place near Loxa. Jo Canmore spoke at hall at night to big crowd Trade here been pretty good all the week. Send 2.00 to L Paving & Co Bosten for work on mushrooms. 24. Friday. 7 AM Ther 36. 63. 45.
Some light clouds wind S.W. light white frost. Warren and Simons came about 8 AM bringing 800 24 in. boards for Bill Myers. Went to work at old switch ties got only 40 out of pile of 60. They took them down to RR and started home about 3 PM. H & H (Henry & Hat) to dinner Pleasant day with SW wind. Gobed 11 PM

22. Tuesday. Jim got up early and went to country for load of hay. Spend much of day trying to get ride out to the country - Uncle Marks or Newtons and spend another night at Jim and Cynthia's.
23. Wednesday. Went by car &c over to aunt Marigaret - which is about a mile- after breakfast, and from there to Cynthia's. Jim went out to Robt Billsboro's funerel leaving me at Newton Pages. Nobody at home. I loafed around the premises and lake till 4 P.M. when Jim returned. Georges Mark with him. Newt went up to burial at No. 9 and I return to Geneva with Jim. Annie Wilkes Smith arrived from Lyons after dark. Her baby Wilkie been staying with his Grandma a few days. I stay at Jim's tonight.
24.Thursday. After taking Annie and Wilkie to train Jim took me out to Uncle Mark's stopping once or twice to inquire about hay and straw arriving at Uncle Ms about 11 AM. I rode down rode a mile or two with Jim. He went up to John C.Ansleys to dinner and I walked to Uncle Marks from corner. After dinner Jimmie hitched up and Aunt Cornelia and self drove down to Matilda's where I saw all the family excepting Jim Holland Jr. From there we went up to JohnC's where we stay short time. He was not at home but Nellie, his wife promises he will take me to Geneva tomorrow P.M. Cold windy cloudy day. Spend evening visiting with Uncle Mark who has failed very much since I lat saw him. He is 76 years old. I slept in back room.
