Clear Pay up Riley Decker for rent he still owes for month's rent. Milt was up bringing load of wood for Sam Ray. Uncle John in town getting tired of J.S.'s method. Trade fair. Gobed 10.30 P.M.
7. Sunday. 6.30 AM. Ther. 72. 93. 78. = 81.
Clear. Tue and self go down to timber, start 9 AM. Milt and Enoch work at well - find no water, dry about 16 ft. and give it up. Dig out new spring near the old one. Terrible hot we both get pretty well tired out, got home about 7.30 Sultry night Gobed 9 P.M. Tue feeling badly.
8. Monday: 5.30 AM. Ther. 78. 93. 76. = 82.
Mostly clear, Cummili. Tue feels badly. Drake brings up wood to Sam Ray. Trade fair . Flies very numerous. Order cigars and Claret of Thunber. Ruth and Maggie pick the raspberries toward night. Milt says Enoch Johnson old man Decker and Steve Decker were to work the AM. Gobed 10.30.
9. Tuesday. 6 AM. Ther. 79. 93. 75. = 82 1/3
Clear. Some clouds during day. Anderson R.R. man says he can give me bill of 110 m ft white oak lumber to finish. Drake takes load of wood to Sam Ray and engage to haul (?) have load of WO poles. Snider wants (?) next week. Gobed 1o.15 PM. Selected material at Winters for suit of clothes to cost 33.oo. Get wagon fixed at Parker's.
10. Wednesday 5.30 AM. Ther. 73. 92. 76. = 80 1/3
Mostly cloudy sp rain early. Start for timber at 7 AM. Find boys fixing road in hollow. Cut poles for Popham after dinner. Rain came up and all quit calling it half a day start home at 2 P.M. via Farmington to avoid muddy road but found them very bad most of way home where arrive about 5 P.M. Mrs. Rogers ironed. Gobed 10.15
