20.  Tuesday.  6.30 AM.  Ther.  40.  44.  34.  = 39 1/3
Cloudy heavy fog. N.2.  This fog continued all night.  Phebe is trying to get ready to visit Muggs or Buddy but circumstances seen to be  unfavorth.(sic)  Helen and George came 11 AM.  This is her birthday.  Twenty nine years old.  Tue gets letter from Buddy AM.  Chas. didn't have whooping cough.  Helen an Geo. went home 3 car Tue pays up H. for B & E. ch 1.17.  The girls were out after supper until after I retire Learn that Mrs. John H Parker  died this morning.  I did not call out mare.  Quite moderate day.  The fog cleared away and wind became N.W. before night blowing perfect gale all night.  gobed. 9.

20.  Sunday.  6.30 AM  Ther.  35.  35.  33.
Cloudy and warmer.  About an inch of  snow fell last night turning to light rain toward morning.  Phebe surprised baby getting up before day.  Byres called while eating breakfast. reports  312 ties by this gang  Grows colder wind NW snow flying at times.  The ground about half covered with  snow.  Cloudy day.  Neglected  to get dry meat yesterday so lives on the scraps.  Gobed 10 P.M.  Cloudy day.
