5.  Saturday, 5.30 AM.    Ther.  78.  94.  82.  =  84 2/3.
Part cloudy.  SW.3.  Emmett came 7 to work.  Repairs pasture fence which was broken down several days ago.  Plant cherry pits.  Mows yard.  Makes mushroom bed in garden.  Plants corn on old house lot: plant more beans.  Says will cut weeds Monday.  Settle with him ch. 1.50.  Part clear day with strong S.W. to N.W. winds: little signs of rain.  It is about as dry as it was two two weeks ago.  Few country  folks in town for Saturday.  Jim Turner died a day or two ago.  Get letter from Phelps.  Says axles will be finished and shipped soon as possible.  Tue Groves at night.  Gobed 9.30.

5.  Thursday.  5.30  AM.  Ther.  70.  90.  75?
Mostly cloudy.  Baby pretty smart this morning.  Kelly works in garden and helps some up town AM.  Pay him order  Bails for 1.00  Mrs. Eastin here PM.  Tue over to Davis toward night.  Maggie got hit in eye with  stone supposed to be from a sling.  Wheat harvest is about over.  Everything growing very fast.  Prospect for a large crop of corn better than ever before at this time of year .  C.G. not very well .  Gobed 8 P.M.
