May 10-11 1913 in Charleston, IL

10.  Saturday.  5.40.  Ther.  36. 68. 50. = 51 1/3
Clear. N.E.  Don't feel pretty well.  Tue went up to  Dr. Starr getting meddy for me P.M. which I take till bed time with some benefit.  Eastern Ill Interscholastic meet and big crowd from distance - not many farmers.  Hat and H. were here to dinner and he brought package C.O. ordered from JEM early AM.  Pay Alvey Armstrong for paper Loxa house 8.00  Helen sent us 1 lb. butter, 1 dozen eggs and some bread.  I didn't hitch up or go town.  Try several times to fix up order for buggy to HC Phelps but could not finish it.  Tue went up town at night  for grub.  Clear day moderate NE winds.  Keep good furnace fire.  Gobed 10 PM

11.  Sunday. 6 AM.  Ther.  38. 72. 52.  = 54.
Clear.  S.E.  Tue went to church AM getting Sunday R.H.  I did not hitch up.  Turn mare in pasture 3 PM.  Am about out of deed of all kinds except pasture  The beans show traces of light frost.  Nobody called.  Can't  see that my case improves any.  I finally get buggy order documents in shape but could not mail letter tonight for want of stamp.  It is to Ohio Carriage Co. Columbus, O.  Check for 58.50 enclosed  also list of names which calls for rebate of 1.00 which I neglected to deduct.  Clear day light southerly wind.  Gobed 9.30
