8.  Tuesday.  5.30.   A.M.   Ther.  40.  44.  40.  = 41 1/3
Cloudy.  E.4.  Ray came early and planted balance of taters.  Order half ton Harrisburg nut coal of Tucker Bros. which came about 10 AM.  Helen Hildreth came A.M. staying to dinner and till 4 P.M.  Tue over to Grove's a while before supper.  Cloudy with strong east wind.  Light rain all day and at night.  Cold and gloomy even with good fire.  Gobed 9            R.  .76

8.  Sunday, 6.30 A.M.  Ther.  40.  63.  52.
Clear A.M. with E. wind clouds up.  Maggie went to S.S.  My cold was so bad that I stayed around the house all day.  Very sore after my ride yesterday, much have ridden as much as thirty miles, which is the first riding have done for a dozen years.  Gobed 9 P.M.
