Charles Gramesly's Journal was written from 1878 to 1925. I am his Great-granddaughter and I post entries from the journal from 114 and 125 years ago. The journal is about everyday living in Charleston & Coles County Illinois. It is not just about the Gramesly family, it is about the community, the region and the issues on all levels that touch their lives. Many people are mentioned in this journal.
