1913

5.  Wednesday. 6.15  Ther.  22.  48.  28.
Clear. SW.2.  I did not sleep till after 3 AM.  Big white frost.  Rhoda came to wash.  Helen Hildreth calls a while AM.  She is  going to a field meet at Decatur.  Mr. Law about same with measles.  His grandson called to see him P.M.  Tue is  getting tired of them think will let them go soon.  Self feel very poorly today with sore face.  Harman calls P.M.  Seems well pleased with situation at farm.  He  is cutting up barnyard  into small lots.  I think good place.   Our last ton of coal lasted just eight days.  Harman called again before going home.   Serius full of gossip.  Says will be in again soon to see about  oats and cloverseed.  He started home after dark with team and and buggy.  Mostly cloudy day.  Light rain 2 P.M. followed by light snow later till dark.  About 1/4 in of snow fell.   My mouth and face seem worse today.  Think Mr. Law getting better slow.  Gobed 10 P  Pay E light bill by mail check 2.25.  720,000 up to last read.

5.  Monday 6 AM.  Ther.  23.  35.  23.
Cloudy snowing wind, N.E.  Had just begun snow  when I got up.  Snowed about on inch of light snow and quit.  Mostly cloudy day  thawing some at noon.  Tried to mend my specs which  broke last night but couldn't  Write S. Stuarie to renew insurance on B & L again.  Pay personal tax Amblin refuses to take his a/c as part of tax.  Myase pays 1.00 on rent.  Moved in today.  Gobed 10 PM
