Clear. White frost. S. Wind. Sore throat kept me awake good deal during night. Have had it since Sunday and does not get much better. Clear all day and first pleasant day for long time. Put in day trying to electioneer. Comer also in town "working". Tue was was uptown doing some trading in afternoon. The roads are drying up very fast. My sore throat was immense at night and kept me awake till 2 A.M. 9.30 P.M.
30. Friday, 6 AM. Ther. 42. 68. 52.
Clear southerly wind. Throat and tongue some better this morning. Tue's throat is nearly as bad as my own. Tue and the rest went down to Dowlings. Bruce Myres paid me 25c that he owed and worked from 1.30 to 5 P.M. burying Carlo and cleaning off yard. Order a gallon of good from Mullany & Hayes. Try to work a "little" for Col. Prospect not very encouraging but still may "get them." Went up to Rep. Club at night. Throat very bad at night, probably worse than ever, keep me awake till 2 A.M. Gobed 9.30 P.M.
