Cloudy N. E. Heavy rain most of night. My appetite still very poor. Cook lima beans yest. They are good but can't eat them. Get letter from Mrs. West enclosing Express M.O. for 1.00 for rent. It seems she addressed her letter to Mattoon and letter has been to Dead letter office. Ray came again as agreed and does the regular work and will come again Thursday. I write short letter to Tue AM. Am about out of coal and keep light fires. The house pretty chilly both day and night. Cloudy day light showers AM with northeasterly wind. I went up town toward night. No letters bought lemons syrup, cove oysters &c at Grims. Slept from 9 PM till near midnight on couch. Went up to bed waking 3 AM cold. Nobody called today. I talked with Geo. Weisland in P.O. Gob 12 R. .05

Cloudy and raining wind E. Trees covered with very heavy coat of ice. Think it rained all night some of the time pretty fast. Maggie went to Sunday School. D.W. Morris funeral today, he died Thursday or Friday. Light rain most of day, foggy toward night. Heavy rain in night. Self not feeling very well today. 9.30 PM
