19.  Wednesday.  6 AM.  Ther.  .42  68.  58.  = 56.
Clear. S.3.  Rhoda wash early &c.  Hitch up AM driving out to Watson corner.  Went south road returning N.  There was no mud nor water anywhere.  Tue worried because Phebe does not write.  Mare had bad scare near Huffmans - telephone men stringing wire.  Tue potted ferns taking one to Mrs. Bell.  The Bell's are building same.  Mrs. K he R has new tenant-moved in yesterday.  Rhoda irons P.M.  Self "rest" most of P.M.  Tue grunting think caught cold last night.  Ray does chores and let him go.  Paid in full 75 cts.  Promised to come Sat. morn and work a while.  Part clear day with violent southerly wind and signs of rain toward nigh.  Official report rain tonight and colder.  Sprinkle rain 5.30 P.M.  Read A. Burr at night.  Gobed 10

19.  Monday.  6 AM.  Ther.  52.  64.  55.
Partly clear, smoky.  Strong S. wind Laudes sawing up maple sticks on yard.  Get gray horse of Sam Ray and Hills out to Trowers woods to see Kible and Rutherford.  They have been down to look at timber and think they will move down make and send ties.  Began to rain about noon and rained lightly most of times till night.  Strong S. wind all day.  Gobed 10 PM.
