5.  Thursday.  6.30 AM.  Ther.  54.  64.  58.  = 58 2/3
cloudy. S.1.  Light fog.  Preston came in morn to talk over the situation.  He wants to quit our place and  rent from Hardin.  We decide to let him do as he desires but will stay if we say.  He decided to talk it over with Hardin and Harman and  might still decide to stay.  Mostly cloudy day  mist at times till near night.  Ther.  standing above 60 until 8 P.M. when cooler.  Strong southerly wind till in night.  Rain and mist say (.02)  I hitched up toward night and drove up town.  Tue attends Bizarre of Aide Society much of the day and went over to Grove's at night.  Gobed 9 P.M.

5.  Monday.  6.45 a.m.  Ther.  23.  40.  30.
Clear. wind, N.W.  See Dr. Hall.  wood $1.00  Defenbaugh pays $1.55  Send 98 for old lumber out to coal shaft.  Ship Gin keg to E. Bryant at Bushton.  Taggart called at night and paid in full on wood 3.oo.  Tue not feeling well worse at night.  Maggie went to school but Phebe says she does not want to go  any more.  Mrs. Perrill over .  Kate called at night.  Comer was in town in morning.  Pay Milt Drake 13.00 on Comer order to use.  Crass banked up  south side of house under porch.  Settle up to date.  He owes me 75 cents and will help pile ties.  Gobed 10 P.M.
