Preston (the new man at the farm) with wife call PM. getting pears. brought ck from Cliff for hay sold J.O.L. He wants to rent part of farm next season. Helen Leone and George drove in about noon. I didn't go up town till sunset get coffee at O&R steak at Dorsch's not good. Boys play ball good deal in library lot and annoy us taking pears &c. The authorities have promised to stop them. Tue and self at home tonight, nobody called. Mostly clear day with light southerly wind. 9.30
