I drove down 7th St to Guiney house and West on Polk to J Hatton's without accomplishing anything. Try same trip P.M. with some result. Mrs. Bell over for pears. Tue getting rid of them to neighbors. think 4 or 5 bu left on trees. Tue gets letter from Phebe (also from Kate) seems well satisfied with her pasish (sic). Tue looked for Muggs tonight and went to 8 PM train but she didn't come. Mostly clear with strong North wind. gobed 9 P.M.
