After getting paper drive E. to timber and to river Hill. Left Jack at home. He is not getting better very fast. Tue talking of going out to Helen's to dinner but gets dinner and went out on 2.30 car. Mort and Kate call an hour or two P.M. Tue got home about 8 P.M. bringing some ice cream from Helen's. Ora Webb called P.M. Dawson didn't deliver our milk. Mostly clear day with light southerly winds. There were a few claps of thunder about 3 P.M. from small cloud S.W. but no rain. Everyday has been a scorcher for the past two weeks ~ Little air stirring. The roads are fine and becoming dusty. Gobed 9.30
Charles Gramesly's Journal was written from 1878 to 1925. I am his Great-granddaughter and I post entries from the journal from 114 and 125 years ago. The journal is about everyday living in Charleston & Coles County Illinois. It is not just about the Gramesly family, it is about the community, the region and the issues on all levels that touch their lives. Many people are mentioned in this journal. Join me as I explore history written by my Great-grandfather . . .
