19  Monday,  6 AM.  Ther.  63.  76.  66.
Fog.  Mrs. Dickenson washes.  Maggie and Phebe start for school.  Patch up roof up at store in forenoon.  H.G. went with me down to Cormer's starting  at 2 P.M.  Find him con fined to the house.  Thinks the mill will get to work in a day or two.  Learn that Capt. JM Ashmore died today has been sick fome time.  Kate Davis over at night she has just  begun teaching at Western school house.  Drove down  to Mr. Youngs after getting home, he wasn't there.  Mrs. Easten called at night few minutes.  Gobed  9 P.M.

20  Tuesday,  6 AM  Ther.  64.  90?  70.
Clear  Get ready and start to timber at 7.30  H.G. going with me  Found the men three nearly ready to saw.  They sawed several hundred feet in afternoon.  Stay with log chopper an hour or two and start home at 4 PM.  Moore paid me 1.00 on wood taken some time ago.  Mrs. Dickenson ironed.  Buy scoop for Comer at Ginther's.  Hot day.  Ther. must have been up to 90.  Get crib up stairs for baby.  Go bed.  8.30
