The last Thursday of Fair charge 50 open. Rhoda washes. Alfred worried with grass a while but too small to cut it. I drive E to woods. They are threshing oats today in that section. Return by Westfield road. Jack was with me and was struck by auto on bridge. Stranger put him in my buggy very seriously hurt. Emmett Fritz called P.M. and will work tomorrow for first time since June. I got home 4.30 in time to escape heavy dash of rain (.25) Put mare in pasture at night. Mostly clear day clouding up 3 to 4 P.M. Go bed 9.30 P.M.
