Thursday, August 1, 1912  6.30 A.M.  Ther.  56.  84.  64. = 68.
Part cloudy. N.1.  I did not get start for farm till after 8 A.M.  getting there 10.  P &P had failed to arrive.  Harman and Burge threshing for Childress.  Talk few moments with Mrs. B. and start home meeting P & P in Loxa on way  out ~  Return with them and get them started at B.C. shed and leave for home about noon going back south roads.  My rheumatig very bad today and did not enjoy ride~After rest till 5 P.M.  start out to find Harvey.  He still promises to do our work right away.  Call at Bill Scotts and pay him for 80 R fence check 30.80.  Stop at Parkins.  He reports getting along all night.  I took mare to Nickles.  Fair day light variable winds.  Go bed 9.30

125 Years Ago . . .

Monday, 1, 1887 6 A.M.  Ther.  74.  100.  76.
Clear.  H.G. tells me they want more lumber.  Drive from 10 A.M. till noon.  George Tucker thinks they will want some oak lumber for school house.  Tue finished her ironing.  Baby still feeling badly.  Phebe not very well.  Also self.  Buy crackers and piece of pork.  Make arrangement with H.G. to go down to mill tomorrow.  Comer calls at night, says will have to haul logs from the other side to finish R.R. and city Bill.  More comfortable today some cloudy P.M.  wind northerly Gobed 11 P.M.
