Monday, July 29, 1912   5.30 AM.  Ther.  62.  84.  70.  = 72.
Clear, SW. 2.  Harman phones that will be in after poles today.  Tue and I decide before breakfast that we would go to Loxa today, but give it up later.  She gets Alford to work a while.  Went and got fork at Fritz's and then over to Parker's.  Meanwhile Harmon came for poles.  I didn't see him.  No word from McNeels today, but I observe they have vacated their old shop.  I drove over to Parkers again PM.  He and (?) will go out to place tomorrow or soon.  Take mare to Nickles at night.  Phebe went down to Ora's.  Tue over at Grove's.  Mostly clear day, moderate variable winds settling northerly.  Go bed 9.30.

125 Years Ago . . .

Friday, July 29, 1887   5.45 AM.  Ther.  68. early, 70.  103.  .83  
Clear.   The girls go to take drawing lessons .  Drive with mare till nearly noon.  Went after the girls. Mrs. Chanceller didn't come to iron as agreed and Tue  undertakes to do it herself.    Ike Miles fears Uncle John's mare will not recover.  Al Crass cleans out cistern PM.  Young says he will pay me some money on rent next week.  Some clouds PM. and looked a little like rain, wind,  variable.  Some lightning at night.  One of the oppressive days we have had.  Tue and Phebe slept down stairs til midnight.  Go bed 10 PM
