Friday, July 12, 1912         6 AM.  Ther 68.  88.  72.  =76.
Cloudy early.  I take another trip along railroads looking for poles &c I found nothing.  I drove over to Balch's.  Kate is busy today  over at her house S.E.  They are intending to start home in about 2 weeks.  Tue got a letter from Buddy.  I start for Loxa 2 P.M. south road but gave it up on account  of the heat.  Roads generally dry but rough.  Wheat is all cut.  Oats turning some pieces  lying flat.  McNeel's force got furnace sections into barnyard to clean up.  They worked but little on them.  Tue and Phebe went to John Cadles show at night.  Fair day S.W.3.  Go bed 9.30 P

Tuesday, July 12, 1887   7 AM.  Ther.  74.  96.  78
Clear.  Tue trys(sic) to get someone to get someone  to wash but does not succeed.  N.M. Uni drummer called  after dinner.  Pay him in full 217.23.  He advises me to go to Vandalia.  Think I can buy out a fellow there.  Went down to depot with  him.  Nearly clear all day and about  the hottest day we have had.  Gave the girls a shower both with the hose.  Kate Davis over little while P.M. Concert at Christian Church at night.  Ezekiel Eastin wants to buy eight cords of wood.  Clouds in W at sunset.  Go bed 10 P.M.
