Part clear N.W. 1. Tue and girls ironing. Get shave at Browns AM. We hear no more from Kate Bacon. Mort Grove has gotten well and has gone to work. Mrs. G still feeling poorly. I drove SW PM and round Hen's* bottom road. Nobody working fields today. Saw no fungi. I stop at J H Parker's leave word for him to go to Loxa to repair floor. He called later in evening, will go Monday. Folks all went to band concert an Square leaving me with Charles. Gobed 9 P.M.
*Hen refers to either Tue's brother Henry of Charles' brother Henry.

Tuesday, June 21, 1887, 6.30 AM. Ther. 73. 83. 65.
Cloudy, wind N. Decided change in the air since last night. Crass came to work before I was up. Clean out weeds in garden and bottom. Set stakes for pile of wood up on lot. After dinner clean out ice box at store. Drive after supper with Tue and girls. Cloudy most of forenoon mostly clear P.M. Ruth brought down cocoons of black silk worms which I put on string. Go to bed 10 P.M Remit checks to Hillerman Bros. 31.20, K.B. Cracker Co. 2.20.
